Pirelli is one of those names that everyone associates with cars, sports and tyres. The brand's history goes hand in hand with the history of cars. Since their beginning, Pirelli tyres have accompanied vehicles and their drivers in the toughest conditions — at rallies, at races and during intensive everyday driving. The brand's tyres currently constitute the official equipment of Formula 1 cars.

The fact that Pirelli tyres are associated with the motorsport does not mean that the brand is not fitted on "ordinary" cars. On the contrary! The company has some very interesting products on offer for various types of drivers. This is evidenced by the many awards received from tests and positive user feedback.

Pirelli tyres can be successfully fitted to vehicles ranging from compact cars to typical sports models. These products are characterised by excellent performance, both in town and on the road, and resistance to wear. Pirelli tyres offer high performance in terms of safety, driving comfort and cost-effectiveness. These reliable tyres are for the discerning driver.

This brand has a lot to offer, including tyres for lorries, motorcycles and agricultural vehicles. These tyres also fall into the premium category.

Interesting facts:

Pirelli was founded by Giovanni Battista Pirelli in 1872, making it one of the oldest tyre manufacturers in the world. It is now considered the fifth largest tyre company. It also includes brands such as Metzeler, Formula, Courier and AGOM.

One of Pirelli's most recognizable initiatives is its famous calendar containing photographs of nude models, which is has published since the 1960s.

In the 1980s, the company invented and marketed low-profile tyres, which have become the most significant innovation since the introduction of the radial tyre.

Pirelli also has an architectural symbol in the centre of Milan — Pirelli Tower, the company's head office, a 127-m skyscraper, a masterpiece of post-war modernism that opened in 1960.

In the 1990s, Pirelli almost merged with Continental, but the prepared merger did not come to fruition.

The Pirelli name was used to sign a limited edition of the first-generation Volkswagen Golf in 1983. The Golf GTI Pirelli model was repeated in 1999 and 2007.

Pirelli has sponsored the Inter Milan football team for many years.

History of the brand Pirelli

For more than a hundred years the story of Pirelli has been written in parallel with the history of the motor industry. The birth of one of the most important firms in the history of the tyre industry took place even before mankind had invented the light bulb. The ideas of a 24-year-old visionary In 1872 the young engineer Giovanni Battista Pirelli set up the company Pirelli & C. in Milan. At just 24 years of age, Pirelli correctly foresaw that the future of a great industry would depend to a large extent on a certain elastic material that would come to be called rubber. In 1879 his factory produced the first insulated telegraph cable. He later expanded his range to include such products as transmission belts and bicycle inner tubes, and  in 1886 he developed a technology for producing underwater telegraph cables. As with many firms in the industry, Pirelli’s first tyres were produced for bicycles: in 1890 the Milano model was launched. Following another 11 years of preparations, for the start of the new century the firm produced its first car tyres, named Ercole. Pirelli was a visionary who realized that good ideas were best implemented on a large scale, and that his product also needed to be placed in the right setting. He therefore engaged in promotion in motor sports, which had always enjoyed huge popularity in Italy. Pirelli has taken part ... Read more >

    Pirelli CINTURATO P7

I have them on Fiat Stilo. Best I’ve ever had. Good on wet and dry road. I drove 60k miles, but most of it, 45k miles was made in summer. No deformations, no vibrations on steering wheel. With good Ferodo DSP brakes you can show where middle class tyres are placed. No extra warming, good grip. No wearing on sidewalls. Highly recommend. For me, the only bad the tyre has is that the size 205/55R16 doesn’t have rim protector. Tyres have 4mm of tread pattern and deep pool causes aquaplaning at 60mph. But ESP/ASR turns in and everything goes smoothly then. This is my home car, the other is Subaru. I have lvl3 race driving diploma and I see those tyres absolutely perfect. Moderate driving style, More > like Colin McRae said: “Straight roads are for fast cars and curves for fast drivers.” Curves are very easy due to driver’s skills, great auto balance and nice suspension.

    Pirelli P1 Cinturato Verde

I bought more expensive tires because of the reputation of the Pirelli brand and I was not disappointed. After buying a car I spent a year on old winter sports cars. Then I bought Nokian winter tires and the comfort of driving increased tremendously. Compared to the old ones, they were quieter and better kept the car on the road. But Pirelli tires are even better. I know that you should not compare winter and summer, but I went on a summer ride in late autumn, when temperatures dropped to around 0 ° C and I did not feel the deterioration of driving, both on dry and wet surfaces. The Pirelli summer tires are also very quiet. When you drive around the city, you can hardly hear them, but cars More > passing by like that. At faster speeds, the more I did not hear them through the air. In short: worth the money, I recommend.

    Pirelli PZero Rosso

The tire just stick to the road, compared to eg environmental Michelin seems to me as if I had a 4-wheel drive. Quite hard to break traction, the car handles like a clockwork and inhibits literally in place. Not once had the opportunity to test their grip in extreme situations and was not disappointed. The downside is their hardness of tire rolling resistance translates into higher fuel consumption and faster tread wear (after 40.000 km is about 4-5 mm). But something for something, my priority is the safety for which I am able to somewhat pay extra. Overall, I can say that is the best in terms of usable tire I've ever had. Despite the minor inconveniences associated with the costs, More > referring to its use-value cost of ownership tire falls sensational.

    Pirelli CARVING EDGE

He recommended it to me friend "oponiarz". Horse Omega A 2.0i Auto. drive tył.Tylko ABS. The whole winter without any slippage. Tires sensational. "Mean" tread helps in driving on snow, mud. like going into the corner but point out during normal driving, it's hard to put a side car and that means safety. Moving, enter the snow-covered parking, driveways, roads paved and less inhibition at a very good level. Tire bit loud (on dry), but I do not mind. winter tyre to be functional and safe. to dry as the dry, winter tyre and feel so soft tires but as I wrote THIS IS winter tyre. I think that in the winter leg of the gas and a rockin 'in my car tire 1 class. I More > recommend to all "tylnonapędowcom" without the systems.
