Suzuki Swift

The Suzuki Swift is a B-segment passenger car produced by the Japanese automaker Suzuki Motor Corporation. The first generation debuted in 1983 at the Yokohama Motor Show and entered the market shortly thereafter. Initially available as a three-door hatchback, it featured 1.0 and 1.3-litre engines. The Swift I gained significant popularity in Japan and India but saw limited success in other markets. Production of the first generation ended in 1989. In 1991, Suzuki introduced the second-generation Swift, which featured a completely redesigned body and was available in multiple variants, including hatchback, saloon, and convertible. A facelift in 1992 updated the bumpers, rear lights, and dashboard. In 1996, production shifted to Suzuki’s plant in Esztergom, Hungary, and the convertible version was discontinued. Another visual update followed in 2002. Production of the second-generation Swift concluded in 2004 after a 13-year run. This generation was well-received in Europe, Asia, India, and South America, where it was also sold under different names such as the Geo Metro, Chevrolet Forsa, and Forsa Taxi. The third-generation Suzuki Swift was unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. Designed with the European market in mind, it was based on the Suzuki Swift Concept. It was offered as a three- or five-door hatchback and a four-door saloon. Known for its spacious interior, this generation earned four stars in the Euro NCAP safety tests. The fourth-generation Swift launched in 2010 with enhanced safety features, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced CO2 emissions, thanks in part to a lighter body structure. By January 2011, global sales of the Suzuki Swift had surpassed two million units.

The standard tyre sizes for the Suzuki Swift are 155/70 R13, 165/70 R14, and 185/60 R15. Optional tyre sizes include 195/50 R16 and 195/45 R17.
