The Continental ContiSportContact 5P is a premium-range summer tyre designed for everyday use. The model offers sporty features and excellent steering precision, whatever the weather. Solid central ribbing provides excellent structural rigidity and, combined with tread blocks and additional asymmetric pattern ribs, ensures stability and safety on the road.
This model adapts to surface conditions thanks to a flexible block located on the outer tyre shoulder. The area of contact between the Continental ContiSportContact 5P and the road has also been increased using a flexible rubber compound to ensure outstanding road adherence. The model uses Black Chilli technology, shortening the tyre warm-up time and improving driving precision. The addition of a special resin means that the tyre bites into wet and dry surfaces, reducing braking distances.
Two tread components, the "cap” and the "base”, ensure optimal performance: the "cap” provides good grip on wet roads and shorter braking distances, while the "base” ensures reduced rolling resistance, whatever the weather. The engineers behind the Continental ContiSportContact 5P also focused on optimising the distribution of pressure acting on the tyre, which means that the tread wears slowly and evenly. Drivers can therefore take advantage of all of its features for its entire lifetime, without having to worry about a gradual reduction in performance and driving comfort. This model is suited to drivers looking for summer tyres that offer a balanced performance on any type of surface, as well as durability and reliability.

I had Goodyear Eagle F1 run flat tyres fitted on my car when I bought it new. They were very disappointing, two tyres failed and the support from the manufacturer was poor. After a lot of looking around I decided to buy Continental ContiSportContact™ 5 P. They are excellent in the wet. In fact, at driver training, when I was on the wet skid pan, the trainer said I had to drive 15km/h faster than every other person there (at least 10 other cars) in order for the car to loose traction. They have perfect steering precision and sporty handling and short braking distances on both wet and dry roads.I would recommend Continental ContiSportContact™ 5 P very highly particularly for country roads. First thing I noticed on purchase vs the Good Year was dramatically less road noise, more comfort, not as hard over bumps, on starting off the tyre would grip the road (dry or wet) and would not spin (even on dry roads the Good Year would lose traction on starting off), and better stopping. They feel much better around corners and the wet than the Good Year tyres. I have done the same number of kms in comparison to when the Goodyear failed (two tyres developed side wall fractures and a bubble formed) and there is plenty of tread and km's left. Still 20,000 later, they are less noisy, more comfortable, better grip than the previouse tyres I had fitted. Not to mention much cheaper. Some say the better grip in the wet means less wear so far I have not seen this at at 20,000km, there will definitely be OK to 30,000 and I would say at least. They have perfect steering precision and sporty handling and short braking distances on both wet and dry roads.I would recommend this tyre very highly particularly for country roads.

I drive very aggressively and often at the limit of adherence, but Continental ContiSportContact™ 5 P yet never once did not surprise me with their behavior. Very quickly overcome turns, regardless of the speed and weather conditions show very good properties of these tyres. It not without significance is also low tread wear. I drove on these tyres since March of this year about 20 thousand km and I am really surprised with tyres condition. I found them to be an excellent tyre in the wet. Dry grip is phenomenal. It is nice and quiet as well. The solid, sturdy central ribs, attached tread lugs, plus asymmetrical tread ribs ensure optimum, longitudinal stiffness in the tyre and reduced movement in the tread. It was very well priced as well. I feel really safe in my car now. I highly recommend tyre Continental ContiSportContact™ 5 P.

Not a bad dry weather tyre at all. The problem for me with this tyre is that it is really poor in wet or cold and damp conditions. Have these on my wife's new SLK 200 AMG which is a 1.8T with 184BHP. Nothing outrageous in the least. They have outstanding grip and stability during cornering .To the point where I don't really want my wife driving the car in wet conditions. I have Continental ContiSportContact™ 5 Pand they are seriously fantastic in the dry and very good in the wet.

Can't recommend this tyre enough, it out performed my expectation during its November to April fitment each year. Astonishing engineering to make this tyre perform so well. Note of caution, when you first get the tyre, ensure you wear the release agent layer off, by aggressively braking from speed, otherwise the characteristics of the tyre appear poor. I think Continental ContiSportContact™ 5 P is the best choice.

Could not get the absolute correct winter tyres for this vehicle at the time of purchase without changing rear wheel size. I usually prefer driving on Continental winter tyres all year, as they provide, for me, the best combination of wear, performance, safety and everything else. Usually not only best for winter driving, but also summer driving during thunderstorms and other inclement weather conditions.
