American brand that produces medium class tires for personal cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and industrial vehicles. General Tire company is owned by german consortium Continental, fourth biggest tire producer in the world. It was established in 1915 by: William F. O’Neil and Winfred E. Fous.

Interesting facts:

A crucial tire model in history of GT – Jumbo was much more expensive then other tires. But price comes with quality, actualy it was so good that it was selling much better then other cheaper tires of other companies.

Factory launched in 1944, located in Waco (state of Texas) was one of the modern factories in the whole world. It was closed in 1986. Engineers from General Tire are responsible for many innovations in tire industry. They discovered method for creating masterbatch of latex and soot, they invented rubber with modified oil, they also created glue for cords and elaborated machines for radial tires production.
