Suzuki Ignis

The Suzuki Ignis is a B-segment passenger car with SUV-like characteristics. First unveiled in 2000 at the Paris Motor Show, the European version of the Ignis was developed based on the Chevrolet Cruze platform and shares its design with the Subaru Justy. Its robust silhouette and elevated suspension allow it to handle uneven terrain with ease, while also offering excellent maneuverability in urban environments. The model can effortlessly climb high kerbs, enhancing its practicality in city driving. A key advantage of the European version is the inclusion of five doors, compared to the three-door configuration available in the Japanese market. Inside, the Ignis offers a spacious cabin that comfortably accommodates the driver and four passengers. The vehicle was offered with a choice of three engines: two petrol options—a 1.3L 16V producing 93 HP and a 1.5L 16V delivering 99 HP—and a 1.3L 16V diesel engine with 69 HP, manufactured in Poland at the Powertrain plant. In Japan, a sportier version was available, featuring a 1.5L engine with 109 HP. Buyers could choose between front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, making the Ignis suitable for a variety of road conditions and not just limited to city use. The Suzuki Ignis also came well-equipped for its class. Standard features included ABS with EBD, electric power steering, dual airbags, and electrically adjustable mirrors. Production of the model ceased in 2008.

The original tyre size for the Suzuki Ignis is 165/70 R14.
Optional tyre sizes include 175/65 R14 and 185/60 R15. Bridgestone tyres were fitted as standard.
