Ford Ka

The Ford KA is a compact A-segment city car produced by the American automaker Ford Motor Company. The first generation was manufactured from 1996 to 2008 and stood out with its bold, rounded design, featuring minimal sharp edges. A steeply raked windscreen seamlessly connects to the bonnet, while the aggressive headlights extend deep into the wings, giving the KA a distinctive and modern look. Its unique styling has sparked mixed reactions, with some praising its originality and others finding it polarizing. Inside, the Ford KA offers a comfortable amount of space for front-seat passengers. The rear seats are more compact, making them better suited for children or short trips. The dashboard features a flowing design, with the center console blending smoothly into the instrument cluster, enhanced by metallic trim accents for a more refined appearance. The boot space is modest, offering 186 litres of capacity—adequate for everyday urban use. In 2003, the KA lineup expanded with the introduction of two special editions: the StreetKA and the SportKA. The StreetKA, a stylish roadster, was designed and built by Italian design house Pininfarina. The SportKA, on the other hand, featured a sportier character with a stiffer suspension, a more aggressive body kit, and a more powerful 1.6-litre Duratec engine. In 2008, Ford launched a completely redesigned KA, developed on a shared platform with the Fiat 500. This new generation is manufactured in Tychy, Poland, highlighting Ford's collaboration with Fiat and its commitment to European production.
