Nankang Cross Seasons AW-6

I have had Nankang on various cars before so chose them from experience of being good all round performance and reasonable price. However, I have always found Volvos to have high road noise and by fitting these tyres is no exception, in this case. Road noise very loud inside the cabin and the tyres emit a ‘ridged’ sound - much like the military Land Rover! I am hoping that with eventual wear of the new surface, the noise will gradually diminish. Having had them on Rovers and Jaguars in the past I chose them again but the previous cars didn’t transfer road noise into the cabin aa nuch as Volvo do. Read more Collapse

Bought in the autumn, drove through the winter, mountainous terrain. The tyres performed well, no difference to previous typical winter tyres. On snow, they held up well, no problem starting uphill or going downhill. I think any tyre slips on braking in muddy conditions. Not used in summer so I can't comment. I had Nexena N'Blue all-season tyres for five years, I used them in the summer in Croatia and in the winter in Zakopane and everything was fine. I have had the Nankangs for six months now and I do not see any difference, so it is great. The tyres are doing their job. Another five years of peace of mind. Read more Collapse
