The Continental AllSeasonContact 2 is based on an ultra-modern directional tread with adaptive properties. There are mainly two solutions behind its parameters:
The grooves are arranged in a "V" shape, allowing the tread to actively distribute liquids, mud or snow getting under the tyre and transport them to the lateral zones. This ensures that they do not block under the front of the wheel, which could lead to the dangerous phenomenon of aquaplaning.
The blocks in the central tread zone are arranged in a "C" shape. Their function is to stabilise and stiffen the area of the tyre responsible for supporting the weight of the car. Their distinctive arrangement allows the blocks to act collectively, improving driving stability at high speeds.
The innovations do not stop there, however. The tyre has been manufactured using the latest generation of Chili compound. The new polymer and elastomer system ensures that the tyre absorbs road irregularities well, and does not stiffen in cold weather or become too flexible at high temperatures. As a result, it works stably throughout the year and its longevity will surprise many drivers.
The tyre is designed for passenger cars, including heavier SUV models. It will also be perfect for vehicles with electric motors, as evidenced by the new symbol introduced by the German brand - EV-Compatible. It signifies that the design of the model and the rubber compound used have a positive effect on energy consumption and thus the range of the car on a single charge.
