The Michelin Group is the largest European tyre manufacturer and one of the world leaders in its industry. The company is famous for innovative solutions and brands that are trusted by customers. The company was established in France in 1889 by Michelin brothers. Currently, the group has as many as 72 production plants in 19 countries (it has been present in Poland since 1994, and its factory is located in Olsztyn). The company manufactures tyres for cars and trucks, agricultural machinery, bicycles and motorcycles. The Michelin product portfolio also includes tyres for aircraft and space shuttles. For many years, the company supplied tyres for Formula 1 – it withdrew after the end of the 2006 season.

195/80 R15 Tyres

195/80 R15 are often installed in family and executive cars. The size of the tyre can be easily seen on its sidewall in a form of a string of numbers (the "R" in the tyre's size denotes its radial construction). The first number expresses in millimetres the tyre's tread width. In the case of the 195/80 R15 tyre it is 195 mm. The second number equals the tyre profile's height and its percentage ratio to the tyre's tread width, e.g. 80% out of 195 mm.
