Avon tyres originate from The United Kingdom. The company's history starts in the end of the 19th century. In 1997 the brand became a part of the American Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. Since 2000 the high quality of Avon tyres allowed them to be provided to the F2000 Championships in the USA. 185/55 R16 Tyres

185/55 R16 tyres are designed for family cars and executive cars. The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall along with other labels. The first number informs about the tyre's tread width. In the case of the 185/55 R16 tyres it equals 185 mm. The second number equals the percentage ratio between the tyre's profile height and its tread width (here 55% out of 185 mm). The "R" in the tyre's size denotes its radial construction while the number 16 (in inches) is the diameter of the wheel rim on which the tyre should be installed.
