In my 86 I have these tyres in size 225x18x40. Pros: - stiff and therefore very responsive tyre - communicates the behavior of the car well - high level of traction, requires a short warm-up on colder days - very good braking on wet and dry pavement - predictable transition of the car into over and understeer and easy control on dry pavement, on wet the car is a bit more ripped and easier to oversteer - tyre behavior induces oversteer more than understeer - do not particularly affect fuel consumption Cons: - relative noise while driving and tosses all the pebbles on the road, all bearable, however, it's not a deal breaker - relatively faster wear - driving comfort I recommend them to people who are looking for a typically sporty tyre and for whom comfort stands second. Sensational tyres. While looking for an alternative to the Michelin Pilot Sports, I came across the Yokohama Advan Sport V107. I read a few extremely different reviews in tests and then took the risk of buying ;). What convince me was the parameters of the tyre's behavior on the wet surface and the lack of comfort pointed out by reviewers. After all, it's a sports tyre - I don't care about comfort. The V107 is a sensational tyre. It is extremely stable in corners, rides well in the wet, and has the pleasant property of slightly peeling off the rear if you want to. The sidewalls give the impression of being hard - the car definitely hardened more after putting on the V107 compared to previous tyres. Sensational value for money for 19” tyres. Very good traction and grip in corners, especially when the tyres warm up. It's worse on wet pavement, as the tyres no longer drive as stably. I have ridden on tyres that performed better in the rain. During normal driving pn wet it is still enough. Combustion with no difference to other tyres. They are quite noisy and after 5-6 thousand km you can already see the sawtooth tyre wear despite the car's almost new top of the shelf suspension. As for grip, there is nothing to complain about, 160km/h in a downpour without any fear. Read more Collapse
