AMAZING! Given that I am not a pilot but a regular user of the car with these tyres (I changed only two during that time: those in front) the car holds the road well. In both dry and wet conditions for Nankang AS 1 I haven’t noticed a lot differences: a tad bit less cornering grip in the wet, but I had to force my hand for it to slightly lose its grip, however, I immediately recovered. Taking curves absolutely precise and immediate steering response to stress. I could not try them on snow as it hasn’t snowed yet :) and I cannot comment on the durability, as I have them only for short period of time. Overall, I can only express absolutely positive opinion. I will complete the set with the two rear tyres and then purchase those tyres again! The price is definitely excelled. The tyres in question are mounted on a Peugeot 207 1.6 HDi 110CV. Finally, I wish to point out that they are made in China (along with almost all the products that come to us) although the company Nankang, one of the oldest manufacturers of tyres, is based in Taiwan.

I bought those tyres, because I needed cheap set for the summer quickly, and I didn’t want to spend money on used rubber. I was debating with myself if it wasn’t too risky , but it did not disappoint. I changed size 165/70R13 5j13 to 195/40R17 7j17. There is a big difference in grip and drive, of course, a big plus. Growth burning too big not noticed. The car less responsive now to some micro-inequalities which at 13inch could be clearly felt. The faster cornering is not a problem, the tyres stick well to less demanding turns, but on sharp bends I felt a slight loss of traction, in the dry conditions. In the wet conditions, they behave very well, the loss of grip occurs after heavy braking but only when speed was almost completely gone. The car without electronic support, but on these tyres easy to master. Overall, for this money, Nankang AS 1 recommendable.

Car as standard came with high premium rated tyres fitted,I've worked in the tyre game for several years,I spent approx 15 years in that trade. My first opinion was to try and get new premium tyres at a good price, but over the years such tyres as nankang have made leaps and bounds in the tyre manufacturing process,as with all Motorsport teams now they find it very difficult to separate the differences of performance and agility from their race tyres, this engineering and processes are being handed down to us the average user of a product they test, albeit some say all you pay for is the the name in many cases this is true, but in my opinion such tyres as nankangs as1 are a very competitive product that do and will carry on doing showing their big cousins up in a world that requires a decent tyre of great value that helps the world go round...

I bought new set of Nankangs AS1 for my BMW E38 after I had very bad experience with tyres from well-known brands. Size: 2x 235/50R18 and 255/45R18 and honestly I can say that the only thing that i regret atm is that I bought Nankangs that late.... New, fresh rubber causes that the tyres grip very well to the dry tarmac. I tested them in corners in speeds of 100MPH but it makes no impression on Nankangs. Before buying Nankangs I double-checked if these tyres are worth my risk... I can trully say that there is nothing to fear of. They are very easy to balance. Many people say that it is imposible to buy better tyres in that price. Nankang company produces tyres for almost half of a century so they have quite big experience. I was a bit affraid that they will be to noisy, but no huge noise is being generated by them. I highly recomend them.

For 170ps is enough, I have the 370nM and sometimes on second gear I have the impression as if it’s on the verge of losing its grip. In dry conditions there’s no difference between Nankang AS 1 and the more expensive competitors (previous I had PZero). They do not wear so quickly which is a plus. In the rain you can easily go on to the 150km/h. If I want to go faster, I need to focus because sometimes slight loss of control of the car can happen. The tyre looks nicely on the rim. I had several emergency braking from 210km/h and was positively surprised. If someone wants to go faster than 150km/h regardless of the wet conditions they might reconsider buying those tyres, but if ride up to 150km/h is sufficient, they can go ahead and buy.

Nankang AS 1 255/30 R21 93 Y XL, ZR, MFS
Nankang AS 1 is a model intended for different weather conditions in summer. With its innovative technologies, it is mainly recommended for the vehicles which travel distances above the average. The compound used to produce Nankang AS 1 includes silica. Thanks to this, the tread is more resistant to abrasion and has a higher durability. The AS 1 model is equipped with an asymmetric tread consisting of two separate sections having different functions. The external section is responsible for an effective skid protection thanks to its arched grooves and wide circumferential channels. The internal section is built of strips with serrated edges and a notch which allows continued highly smooth driving.
Nankang was founded in 1959 in Taiwan, under the name Nankang Rubber Tire Corporation Ltd. Due to its dynamic growth, the group started to export tyres to foreign markets. Through this, in 1972 Nankang opened their first branch office in Australia. According to statistics, Nankang products are still among the most popular tyres in that country. In the following years, the export was extended to North America and Europe. The Taiwanese company also owns such brands as Sonar Tire and Roadiac.
Fuel efficiency is rated from A to G on a colour-coded scale. The highest fuel efficiency rating is A (green; the lowest rolling resistance), while the lowest fuel efficiency rating is G (red; the highest rolling resistance). Rolling resistance influences fuel consumption and vehicle emissions; the lower the resistance, the lower the fuel consumption and exhaust fume emissions.
Wet grip is the tyre's ability to adhere to the road surface in wet conditions. The EU rating focuses only on the wet braking performance of the tyre. Wet grip is rated from A to G, where A represents the best braking performance and G represents the worst. It is one of the most crucial safety parameters.
Tyres contribute to the amount of noise a vehicle generates. Choosing a tyre with a good noise rating will lower the impact of your driving on the surrounding environment.
