Michelin Latitude Alpin 2 are recommendable tyres. Although i'd choose a bit wider ones next time. Ie. 255 instead of 235. Previously i've had scorpion ice in size 235 and those used to look far wider than the current Firestones traction is ok but I'm a person who likes the good looks and those look little too narrow :-). I do not know why that is (since both brands were fitted on the same rim of course).

With the tyres I am the most happy, I tested them in the mountains on snow and ice and they proved to be superb. The only drawback is that the two tyres are hard to balance cause i muste've driven on something and got 2 slight bulges and so at speeds above 80 mph they start vibrating. I despite the fact they are very good tyres. Regards.

Doing fairly low mileage on Michelin Latitude Alpin 2 tyres it's difficult to determine their durability but I hope that they will stand out from their older predecessors. good rolling resistance (saves fuel). Recommended to light winter conditions in local the area in including routes outside the city
We drove over 3 thousand miles in Europe on Michelin Latitude Alpin 2 tyres, tested alpine terrain in August and performance seems flawless. Indeed, when driving on the highway at a speed of about 90mph it's louder than the summer tyre but winter tyres are always a bit louder.

Unfortunately, due the lack of winter in 2014/2015 around local area I can not rate Michelin Latitude Alpin 2 tyre for its snow / mud handling. So my rating is supposed to 6. Tyre is quiet and I'm happy that i've bought those.

Fuel efficiency is rated from A to G on a colour-coded scale. The highest fuel efficiency rating is A (green; the lowest rolling resistance), while the lowest fuel efficiency rating is G (red; the highest rolling resistance). Rolling resistance influences fuel consumption and vehicle emissions; the lower the resistance, the lower the fuel consumption and exhaust fume emissions.
Wet grip is the tyre's ability to adhere to the road surface in wet conditions. The EU rating focuses only on the wet braking performance of the tyre. Wet grip is rated from A to G, where A represents the best braking performance and G represents the worst. It is one of the most crucial safety parameters.
Tyres contribute to the amount of noise a vehicle generates. Choosing a tyre with a good noise rating will lower the impact of your driving on the surrounding environment.
