I bought these tires due to the necessary replacement of summer on the new - changed with Pirelli P7. Tires not yet tested in winter conditions, so I can not speak on the subject, hence the rating 4. Durability do not judge, because I have them too short. What to ride on these tires in summer conditions - in the city are brilliant! There are so quiet that a good class car has the impression - the forgiveness of gas - that the car levitates above the ground. I have previously two other sets of tires in premium and none were so quiet. Tires very well dampen road irregularities. I can say that my Audi A6 class only showed how good and quiet the car. Already the assembly method of the road test, it turned out that they are very well balanced. The burning visibly lower. The road at higher speeds also noticeably quieter, so that, for example. Bars on the side of the expressway on the sections where are acoustically louder and give resistance to safety - with these tires you can not hear! If winter conditions turn out to be as good as in summer, it never buy another tire model. I had my doubts as to their appearance, but they are great, the tread looks very sporty and sidewalls are indistinguishable from other summer. I have no doubt that the tires will cope in winter - especially the last few years show that the tire change does not make sense and will be more than enough to fulfill their role. It is worth investing in these tires and sincerely recommend it!

Before I bought these tires wondering nearly a month of time. I checked the other tires, I compared etc. I talked with friends about the tires. Sentences were different. Part reborn as saying that there is something to all this is for nothing that there is no such tires which complies with summer and winter tires. I decided to buy tires. After assuming I took off on a tour of 1800 km. I am so far under the impression :). Tire quiet, nicely collects inequality. I was curious effect on wet roads. In Germany not limited stretch of highway pushed the boat out. 196 km / h in the rain, looking for tracks of water flowing over the highway. Probably someone will say that it is stupid but the effect of driving with these tires was and is stunning to me, the car was going like clockwork !!! gentle movement of the steering wheel and all that. The manufacturer has done a good job, as competition is probably already crying. I recommend these tires for those who want to feel 100% safety while driving his car. And I'm still curious winter, I'm sure I share your opinion. For me, the best tires for which so far have ridden

I have been thinking about buying all season tyres for around for two years now. I have seen different models for 15 and 16 inch wheels. Finally, I decided that because of the price I would use 15 inch wheels. I have long considered a particular model Michelin CrossClimate. In the end, he convinced me a certificate for countries where winter tyres are mandatory. Recently I have been going all the time in the winter so the difference already at the start is quite high - they are much quieter, very well braking, they keep up the road during downpour in the rut. Thanks to the fact that this rather high profile is more comfortable than 16 inch. Interesting is the recurring motif of the Human on the side edge of the tread :) As for the grip on the snow I do not know, but it gives 5 of the tests that I could watch and homologate :) On dry and wet it works very well. How much for this reasonable price - for me the Michelin CrossClimate, revelation :)

Tires already drove about 1 thousand kilometers along the route, and hundreds of the city. In conclusion I am satisfied. In comparison to the previous practice of tires (Dunlop Winter Sport 3D and Michelin Energy Saver. From winter definitely quieter than the summer too (but keep in mind that it was those tires around 6 years). They run very well, I have no objections. They are not worse than those I had, and there is no problem with the change. It is possible that Dunlopy would be a little better in the snow, but in winter very rarely ride in such conditions (in practice a few days, or not at all). We will definitely be better in transition. Passes are distributed fairly evenly to me during the year, even if they were also moments that other tires would be perhaps better, an average of a year, I believe that CrossClimate are much better. Well, no need to change, periodic balancing can do anytime, off-peak change tires;)

Upon receipt of tires I had a feeling negative, ie. It seemed to me that they have about 1/3 less tread of a winter tire and 90% that was !!! After analyzing and assuming their first impression was disbelief when braking because braking coming out strange but pleasant sound in an open glass slightly audible. I realized quickly that the braking distance was shortened strongly, what this is going, I was able, even in the rain to enter in large puddles on summer attracted me and for those already well disperse water !!! As for durability I did not notice that the tread has declined - not pale gums can safely budge so but at the moment I can not say just anything wrong with the tire mega surprise first got approval winter - one thing is certain not regret your every dollar you spend. I have been a supporter of multigrade tires but now I appreciate their quality particularly those tires will not change to another !!!

Product description

Michelin CrossClimate 175/70 R14 88 T XL

The process of designing and improving Michelin CrossClimate lasted as long as 3 years. 150 persons worked on the development of this tyre in total and it was subjected to 1,000 lab tests. Over those years, the model was road-tested in 7 European countries. During the tests, the tyre travelled 5 million kilometres. Its performance was tested in a wide range of temperatures (- 30°C to 40°C).

Compared to other all-season tyres, the model was designed using completely different technologies. It is these high-tech treatments that made the model feature the highest tyre labelling class (A) in terms of wet grip. The tyre achieved that class when tested according to the criteria for summer and winter tyres. What’s more, the tyre also received the highest tyre labelling rating in terms of noise.

Examples of differences between Michelin CrossClimate and other summer or all-season tyres:

- 5 m shorter braking distance on a dry surface compared to an all-season tyre (at 14°C),

- 7 m shorter braking distance on a dry surface compared to a winter tyre (at 14°C),

- 3 m shorter braking distance on a wet surface compared to a summer tyre (at 6°C).

The high performance of these tyres in all seasons has its roots in the modern tread. One of its most characteristic components are the 3D sipes. Their pattern is derived from summer tyres, but the geometry is taken from the tread of winter tyres. Thanks to this double characteristic, the sipes change their wideness depending on the road conditions. This makes the tyre bite into the pavement, ensures excellent traction and stability at bends. All this is regardless of the conditions (also on slippery surfaces).

A very important element of Michelin CrossClimate is its shoulder blocks with their bevelled edges. They maintain a high contact with the surface, ensuring short braking distances in both summer and winter.

The tyre design includes a flexible compound which also improves its performance on dry, wet and snowy roads. Moreover, such a solution ensures a lower rolling resistance, which saves on fuel. The silica used in the tyre material reduces heat emissions.

The tyre is manufactured in only 4 plants in Europe (two of them are located in Spain and two in Germany).

Michelin is one of the largest tyre manufacturers on the market. The company was founded in 1889 in France. It owns such brands as Kleber, Kormoran or BFGoodrich. Michelin offer includes the highest class products.

Michelin CrossClimate all season tyre is classified as premium tyre, which means that it provides modern technology and maximum performance.

Label

The Michelin CrossClimate tyre in size 175/70 R14 88 T, according to the manufacturer's information, has the following drivability qualities:

  • C
  • B
  • 68 dB
C B 68 dB

Fuel efficiency (rolling distance)

Fuel efficiency is rated from A to G on a colour-coded scale. The highest fuel efficiency rating is A (green; the lowest rolling resistance), while the lowest fuel efficiency rating is G (red; the highest rolling resistance). Rolling resistance influences fuel consumption and vehicle emissions; the lower the resistance, the lower the fuel consumption and exhaust fume emissions.

Wet grip

Wet grip is the tyre's ability to adhere to the road surface in wet conditions. The EU rating focuses only on the wet braking performance of the tyre. Wet grip is rated from A to G, where A represents the best braking performance and G represents the worst. It is one of the most crucial safety parameters.

Noise

Tyres contribute to the amount of noise a vehicle generates. Choosing a tyre with a good noise rating will lower the impact of your driving on the surrounding environment.
