Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3

These are the first all-season tyres I have used. I am a driver with 20 years of experience and about 500,000 km done. Before buying, I watched probably all the videos about all-season tyres and read a lot of articles on the subject. It should be noted that some of them may be sponsored, but I drew my own conclusions and opinions from the reliable ones that did not sugarcoat the facts. Seasonal tyres are still a young product in terms of quality development, and currently only two manufacturers can boast tyres with a very high-quality rubber compound that are recommendable for both summer and winter. These two manufacturers have two different approaches to all-season tyres. The first manufacturer: Tyres that are good in summer but also suitable for winter. The second manufacturer: Tyres that are very good in winter but also perform well in summer. Considering these two approaches, I decided that for safety reasons it is more important to preserve the tyres in winter, while acknowledging that in deep snow or on mountain roads, no all-season tyres will be as good as the best winter tyres. I do not drive in deep snow or in the mountains, so this aspect is irrelevant to me personally. Here, we need to consider our personal needs: where we live, how often and where we drive, and whether, in the event of a snowstorm, for example, we can stay at home, where winter tyres would most likely be better than all-season tyres in snowy conditions. Winters in Poland, where I live, are getting shorter and milder, with only a few days of heavy snowfall, and typical winter tyres are primarily designed for white or icy roads. The choice of all-season tyres fell on Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3. Conclusions: In spring and summer, on dry and wet surfaces at temperatures of 0-30 °C, the performance is better than that of 4-5-year-old summer tyres and winter tyres of the same brand. I haven't tested them in winter yet, but considering how well they performed in spring at very low temperatures and on very wet surfaces, including melting snow, I am optimistic. From my perspective, I think it is better to replace all-season tyres every 3 years (these tyres have a shorter service life in terms of their compound properties, and we drive on them all year round, which causes faster wear compared to single-season tyres) than to replace two sets of summer and winter tyres every 6 years. The cost is roughly the same, but in the case of all-season tyres, in the third year at the end of their life, we will still only have 3-year-old rubber, compared to 6-year-old rubber at the end of the average life of a single-season tyre. Assuming that older rubber compounds on average perform worse than younger compounds, this also seems to be important. I will briefly mention the aspect of saving time and money by making an appointment with a tyre repairer, as well as the lack of space needed to store a second set of tyres at the end of the season. Louder than the previous ones, but not by far. I read that they would be louder, I listen and I hear. If I didn't know it I probably wouldn't have paid attention. They perform well, I've never (with these tyres on this car) got into a skid, sometimes they slip on wet tarmac on take-off, but I guess that's rather me going accelerating to rapidly. When I take off sensibly all's fine. I'm not blaming snow and slush because it's late December and I haven't seen snow yet. I'm only writing for the fact that I got a reminder from Oponeo. Perfect tyres for our roads. a little noisier than summer tyres, but with no impact on driving comfort. With the winters we have in Poland and the care taken with the condition of the roads in winter - they handle superbly. No surprises on ski trips - night skiing on the slopes. This is what I feared the most and was pleasantly disappointed. The purchase was consulted with an Oponeo employee by telephone. Excellent tyres for our roads. A little louder than summer tyres, but this does not affect driving comfort. With the winters we have these days and the condition on the roads in winter, they perform very well. No surprises during ski trips - night driving on the slopes. If something is good for everything, it is good for nothing, which is not the case with these tyres. Of course you have to take into account that they are not 100% winter tyres and that they grip a little less in mud or snow.. Their huge advantage is noise. They are really quiet and at the same time have excellent rolling resistance. I've already driven 4,000 kilometres on these tyres and I can recommend them with a clear conscience. They've experienced almost every possible road condition and I definitely have to say that they performed well at fairly high speeds. They have excellent grip on wet surfaces, as well as on snow and ice, provided you drive at a reasonable speed appropriate for icy conditions. Highly recommended, very good tyres. Effective - great in the dry, wet. I've been in the mountains three times, snowy roads, mountain pass and not once did I lose control of the vehicle. On the downside, it is worth writing, they are noisier than my previous summer and winter tyres. Hello, these are my first all-season tyres. Purchased before the winter season. My biggest concern was how they would perform on snow. The Goodyear Vector 4seasons Gen-3 tyre performed perfectly in winter conditions. The car handles confidently and steadily and there was no problem at all with braking either. These are my second set of all-season tyres. The first ones were Goodyear, but only the first generation. They were louder than summer tyres, but these ones are very quiet. Of course, you have to be careful on ice, but winter tyres don't do very well either. I spent over half a year looking for tyres, reading reviews, tests, etc. But I made the right choice. I ordered the tyres for my new car. After 4 months of use, I am convinced that these are good tyres for a variety of road conditions. Of course, they have some limitations, but they are more than sufficient for normal, everyday driving. I'm bought this set after first snow to replace Michelin Pilot Sport 4 on my wife car. Grip on snow excellent on ice mor then excellent. Not filing icy surface before not out from car. I expected a little more from tyres advertised as the best all-season tyres. While they are fine on dry surfaces and compete with summer tyres, the braking distance in the rain is noticeably longer than with good winter tyres. They are also a bit noisy and do not perform on uneven surfaces very well. Read more Collapse

Good tyres, on dry pavement a revelation, on wet pavement it's ok, they can slip somewhere, but generally reliable and good grip. They have given the rather old car a second life. The tyres are not the quietest, but I have had multi-season tyres from another premium brand before, and those are much quieter. I don't know how they perform on snow because winter is still to come, but there is no difference on wet and dry surfaces. I am satisfied. Read more Collapse

The tyres grip perfectly on dry and snowy roads, and on wet roads they sometimes skid, but that's because I have front-wheel drive, so I think that with four drive wheels they would do the job. I recommend them anyway! Read more Collapse
