Hello, I decided to share my opinion about the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D with you. I decided to choose these tyres because I had the previous model Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D in my Vauxhall Astra H. I changed the tyres and I do not regret. The price was very good but the date of manufacture (DOT number) was not available. The tyres were from September 2013. They were mounted on brand-new steel wheels. There was absolutely no problem when it comes to balancing and alignment. I have been using these Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D tyres for one winter season. They are very reliable. They have never let me down. They are really quiet. They have good labels, especially when compared to different tyres in a similar price. The tyres are equipped with a directional tread pattern that gives an amazing performance. I have an impression like I was driving a car on summer tyres. It is obviously a premium brand. They are a bit louder than summer tyres but it is an utterly normal thing. Their grip is superb. I was hesitating between 55 and 65 profile size but I think the second one is better for winter season. I do recommend the Dunlop SP winter Sport 4D!

I bought a set of new tyres together with brand-new alloy wheels dedicated to my new Vauxhall Insiginia. I decided for Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D. At the very beginning I had an impression that after fitting the tyres look like they were square. After warming them up and driving a longer distance they started to look and work properly. I am satisfied with a quality of these tyres. However, next time I have to choose a better fitting station. I think the tyres were not fitted properly to the wheels. The tyres have good reviews. They provide a good adhesion in different temperatures. The components that were used to build the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D are lightweight. Therefore, the rolling resistance is reduced. Although I initially had some issues with these tyres I think that their quality is one of the best. I would like to recommend them to everybody. Very good quality to price ratio.

I use Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D in a quite big size 235/65R17 in my 4x4. They are marvelous. I have to addmit that when I am driving on snow I felt very confident. I had full control over the car for the whole time. It is hard for me to judge the moving-off properties as in my 4x4 it is just splendid even when the road was a bit icy. Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D are ery good tyres, the ESP turns-on very seldom. They "pull" very nice :) oN dry road surface no probs at all. I love how they perform in my 4 x 4. They give me so much confidence and an excellent driving comfort. On the ice they are a bit slippy but none of the tyres avaliable on the martker would behave on ice same as on dry/wet road surface. All in all Dunlop Sp Winter Sport 4D are very good winter tyres! You would be pretty much shocked how good SP Winter Sport 4D can be.

I purchased the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D tyres manufactured in Germany. The wheel balancing and alignment went very smoothly. The size I bought is 195/65 R15) which seems to be a bit small when compared to summer tyres of Kumho manufacturer that I had previously mounted on my vehicle. Tyres are doing very well in different weather conditions. In my second car I had an older version (3D model) of the same size. In 4D they improved many things like tread pattern, rubber compound, wet grip, fuel economy and noise level. The Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D provides low rolling resistance which is typical of this class of tyres. It is a bit difficult for me to rate their noise level because my car has a diesel engine and it is too loud outside. I do recommend both 3D and 4D model of Dunlop SP Winter Sport tyres!

The Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D tyres are very interesting. The area I live in is exposed to difficult weather conditions, especially in a winter season. The tyres have never let me down. They provide a feeling of safety on a road. Their rolling resitance is low. They are environmentally friendly tyres. Their main advantages are: aquaplaning resistance, extended tread-life, lessens fuel consumption. The tyres look really great because of their unique tread pattern. I think that in snow and mud they behave as good as in dry weather. I would like to add that in my other cars I used Michelin tyres, of which I was happy. These Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D tyres seem to be as good as Michelins. It was a good purchase. It is a splendid product. It has my rcomendation.

Product description

Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D 235/55 R19 101 V N0, MFS

The presented tyre is marked with 3PMSF symbol (Three Peak Mountain Snow Flake). It means that the tyre meets the EU requirements for winter tyres. The symbol is awarded after thorough tests of a tyre model in terms of snow grip.

Technical description: The Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D is a winter tyre that offers a versatile performance. Drivers using these tyres can expect excellent performance on all types of winter roads, optimal driveability on icy surfaces, superb control and grip on wet roads and substantial fuel savings as the tyre's design ensures economical use.

One element that helps the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D perform so well on winter roads is its design combined with a very high quality rubber compound noted for its excellent grip. The model therefore drives well in any winter conditions. Very good traction on ice and snow is due to the innovative tread design and the huge number of gripping edges on the tread blocks. Thanks to the additional deep sipes in the central part of the tread, the tyre performs exceptionally well when accelerating, braking and climbing uphill.

The directional grooves making up the tyre's tread pattern perform effectively in rain or thawing conditions. Since the tyre is noted for its light construction and is made from an innovative compound, it uses less energy and therefore consumes less fuel, making it more environmentally friendly as it produces fewer CO2 emissions.

Information about the manufacturer: It all began in 1888 when John B. Dunlop developed the pneumatic tyre. A year later the company already had its first victory under its belt in bicycle racing. Similar and even greater successes were to come many more times in the brand's history. In 1948 Dunlop presented the first tyre that did not lose air, even when punctured. Dunlop is currently owned by the American Goodyear group and the Japanese group Sumitomo.
