    Opinion from outside the UK

Tires purchased at the beginning of April 2016. I changed the Michelin Latitude Tour HP and I must say that after a month of driving'm mega happy. Quiet and well holding the car on the road. And the rain is simply a revelation. I rode a really solid downpour and on the road where there were a lot of puddles and the car behaved as if he was driving on dry. In general, do not feel it was uncertain road holding. I would recommend these tires 100% Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I am very positively surprised by these tyres. I admit that I have already used Dunlop SP Sport 01, so the requirements were quite high. Sport Maxx is a relatively quiet tyre on my car although SP Sport 01 seemed quieter to me. It looks very cool - the protective function of the rims works great - the tyre has an excess of rubber that protects the rim from rubbing against the curb. After driving about 15k km in various conditions I can fully say that the behavior on wet surfaces is sensational - it allows you to easily master the car even with dynamic driving (highway speeds) in heavy rain. I probably didn't feel so at SP Sport 01 or earlier Bridgestone Turanza. Grip on dry surfaces is amazing - I was driving along the A1 highway during a gale - speeds between 130-140 km / h - stable car. Strong gusts when leaving from behind noise barriers meant that the car was throwing but the steering wheel remained unmoved, the direction of travel unmoved. Let there be no negatives - good grip makes the fuel appetite increase - in my case it is about 0.2 - 0.3l / 100 km (depending on speed) - compared to Bridgestone Turanza, so generally without drama but still ... I also found one tyre that was slightly bulged - you can see it only on the balancing device when the wheel is spinning (imperceptible to the naked eye). The consequence was that one of the vulcanizers could not balance it - about 110 km / h you could feel a gentle beat on the steering wheel. Fortunately, another did without a problem - there was a need to stick weights in 3 places. Maybe this is just my 1 full copy .... In general, with a clear conscience recommend! Read more Collapse

I have been driving an average of 60,000 a year for several years, regardless of the road conditions, which is why I put good tyres on. Until now, I have mainly used high-end brands and model brands: mainly Michelin, I also had Pirelli twice and Good Year. Due to the car's power and aggressive driving style, the tyres did not last long. In the case of Dunlop I decided to do a small experiment because the tyres had very good reviews and the price was tempting compared to the above-mentioned brands (the difference on only one tyre reached about 30 GBP). I was not disappointed, and even I am very happy with the choice. I will purchase Dunlop for winter as well. The tyres are really very quiet, they keep well in sharper corners and on a wet road they are draining water well. An important element for me is also the tyre durability, so far after 15k you cannot see any special wear - I think they should last for 60-70k. Visually, they also look great, I think the tread pattern fits both sports cars and limousines. I would recommend - a great compromise between quality and price. Read more Collapse

I've traveled about 13kkm on tires. My driving style is very diverse, from calm to very dynamic (not to be confused with aggressive). At the moment, I haven't noticed the major drawbacks of this tyre. As for the noise it is not too high and actually with the diesel engine barely audible. Behavior on dry surfaces: the tyres perform very well, I did not see any slippage when cornering at a reasonable speed, and the car is quite difficult to unbalance. However, wet is a bit worse. With dynamic starting, it happens to lose traction, but when driving at a constant speed, even on the highway, the water is drained very well from under the wheels. When sudden braking on dry car does not lose grip, unless there is some sand, in the wet it is way easier. Suppressing unevenness is not the best, but for a fairly low profile it is good. As for tire wear, it is hard for me to say something more, I have traveled only 13kkm on them. I also did not notice that the tyres behave somehow unnaturally. Failure rate: none. In short, I highly recommend. Read more Collapse

Generally a tiye worth recommending, I know what I’m taking, but there are a few comments. First of all, what hurts the most - I got tyres with three production dates (2x1114; 0814; 2014). 1x1114 and 1x0814 landed (unfortunately) on the front axle. Effect? Above 120km / h, pull to one side (without beating; without any vibrations; after accurate balancing). After changing wheels L <> P pull to the other side. Evident greater rolling resistance in one of the wheels. After mounting on the front 2x1114 the problem disappeared. Solution? Order tyres only with the same production date. The second thing is volume. I knew it would be louder but not so;) But ... generally a tyre worth recommending. Grip great. With dynamic turning the steering wheel floats a little (pressure 2.6), but let's say that fresh rubber with a high tread and a soft compound. The grades I've posted relate to the set that I received in one delivery. Poor "behavior on the road". I suspect that if I got tyres from the same date, the ratings would be maximum. Technical description: The Dunlop SP SportMaxx RT is the successor to the Sport Maxx TT model. It is noted for its improved braking and going round corners and, thanks to the use of an innovative compound, the car reacts faster to steering movements. The tyre's excellent stability when negotiating corners and moving at high speed is down to its massive side wall. The system of tread grooves effectively disperses water and protects against the risk of aquaplaning.

The model is made using a special sporty compound, which helps the tyre adapt to different types of surface. The even distribution of material and the aerodynamic side of the tyre reduce rolling resistance, resulting in lower fuel consumption and a reduction in CO2 emissions.

The designers have also managed to ensure optimal performance from the tyre thanks to its construction using Racing technology, which increases driving comfort and ensures a greater level of safety and better driving precision compared with other tyres of the same class. The car also reacts extremely well to even the most minor steering corrections, thus improving driving stability and making the driving experience genuinely enjoyable.

The Dunlop SP SportMaxx RT is installed as an original part in the Mercedes C63 AMG and C63 T.
