Very quiet tyre. I switched to them straight from directional winters (Pirelli) and the difference in noise was huge. Earlier in the summer I drove on a set of Pirelli-front, Hankook-rear (newer). The difference between them and the new Dunlops is very big. Both on wet and dry pavement they grip sensationally, they dampen vibrations very nicely and you don't feel them even at higher, motorway speeds. Plus, the sensation of driving through puddles is great - you practically don't feel a thing :D. Rolling resistance is minimal, although very similar to the previous summer set (with a slight Dunlop advantage). As for durability, they're only nearing the end of their first season, but I had the tread measured this month and it's still 7mm, so it promises to last a long time. The only thing they're not great at is their appearance - they're not eye-catching. They are just nice, in a very standard style. On the plus side, they don't sting, and they fit in with practically every mid-range car.

I was persuaded to make the purchase by an Oponeo consultant, and I must say that it turned out to be a very good choice. The tyres have covered over 10,000 miles and I have no complaints. My driving style - variable - rather higher than lower speeds, and the distance from point A to point B is about 30miles. The tyres behave very well both on dry and wet surfaces - first class braking, in bends they hold as they should. The tyres are indeed quiet, although this is difficult to notice on our county and municipal roads - only on the motorway could I find this out. After driving the above-mentioned kilometres, I did not notice any excessive abrasion of the tyres, even though the rubber is soft, they cushion well. The most important thing I noticed was a reduction in fuel consumption of about 0.5 litres per 100 miles compared with the previous tyre, the Continental EcoContact3, which is important to me. For the performance of the tyre the price is reasonable, so I recommend it.

I appreciate Dunlop from motorbike tyres, I have ridden several sets and they were OK. I was tempted to buy these tyres because of the many positive reviews. However, the tyres are average. First of all, in this size there are only 4 guide strips, the previous Bridgestones had 6. They lose grip very easily when starting off in the dry, you can't use the power of the car, the same when braking, the previous ones didn't have this. I thought they would wear out, but no. They have a predictable transition into a skid and they definitely lose grip later, you have to get used to it. Alpine serpentines, pretty good but the front end starts to grind. On steep rocky roads it is a disaster, impossible to move, only releasing the air helped. Tyres generally for highway rolling, not worth the money. No noticeable reduction in fuel consumption. Hopefully they will not deform in 2 years, because they are eco-friendly.

I had previously been riding on Dunlop Fastresponse tyres. After one tyre was punctured I decided to buy new tyres, looking for Dunlop tyres once again. I drove 7000 km on them. What bothered me at first was the softness of the tyre. Compared to the previous tyres, you can clearly feel that the tyre is softer. My first thought was that it would wear quickly. However, after fitting the tyres, my fears proved to be wrong. The tyre handles very well on both dry and wet roads. While driving the car does not float in corners, and on the motorway at 140km/h the tyre is quiet and stable. The only drawback is in deeper mud, where you have to operate the accelerator gently and not jerk. But you can't expect a summer car tyre to be perfect at getting out of mud. If I had to recommend a tyre, I would definitely say yes to the DUNLOP SPORT BLURESPONSE, they are almost perfect.

It took me a long time to think about buying these tyres, as I have a 2000 Passat, so I wasn't sure if it made sense to buy such expensive tyres that would exceed the value of the car:)... Nevertheless, I bought them and I am very impressed. The tyre grips the wet road like it is glued to the asphalt. Curves on wet pavement are a pleasure. I use the tyre mainly on the motorway and I must say that it is very quiet. On dry roads, it is fantastic! When it comes to fuel consumption, I thought it would be better. The fuel consumption is lower but not as low as I had imagined. It is a pleasure to drive on these tyres, especially on wet roads. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND - even for old cars - it gives them a second youth!

Product description

Dunlop SP Sport Bluresponse 195/65 R15 91 V

What method was employed to produce a tyre that is said to feature “grip without compromise”?

Asymmetrical tread pattern: all the field specialists agree that only this tread pattern is characterised by such a high endurance and versatile performance. These are the features desired by any driver of a dynamic car. With the continuous tread rib, the drive is stable and precise. The longitudinal and transverse grooves ensure a good grip. The result? Confidence when driving straight, on bends and also in the rain.

Polygonal tread pattern: the use of different angles in the arrangement of all tread elements decreases the pressure, so it provides better control of the car and a better feel of the road.

Modern tread blocks: their special adaptation to a dynamic drive, combined with an additional block stiffening, increases the tyre’s contact with the road during braking and this makes for such short braking distances on wet and dry surfaces.

Aerodynamic shape and material: the carefully designed aerodynamic shape and material of the tyre effectively reduce the heat produced during use. Their joint cooperation allow the reduction of fuel consumption by 30%.

4-8% bigger road contact surface: another element which regularly cares for a higher stability, precise manoeuvres, better grip and lower tread abrasion.

Closed grooves in the tyre shoulders: these are responsible for dampening the noise generated during use and exterior noise. You may enjoy a comfortable drive.

Seamless nylon brace: this allows for the elimination of the risk of tyre deformations at high speeds. It also provides a slow and uniform wear.

In 2016, Dunlop Sport BluResponse was ranked 3rd in tests organised by ADAC for size 185/65 R15 tyres.

Label

The Dunlop SP Sport Bluresponse tyre in size 195/65 R15 91 V, according to the manufacturer's information, has the following drivability qualities:

  • B
  • A
  • 68 dB
B A 68 dB

Fuel efficiency (rolling distance)

Fuel efficiency is rated from A to G on a colour-coded scale. The highest fuel efficiency rating is A (green; the lowest rolling resistance), while the lowest fuel efficiency rating is G (red; the highest rolling resistance). Rolling resistance influences fuel consumption and vehicle emissions; the lower the resistance, the lower the fuel consumption and exhaust fume emissions.

Wet grip

Wet grip is the tyre's ability to adhere to the road surface in wet conditions. The EU rating focuses only on the wet braking performance of the tyre. Wet grip is rated from A to G, where A represents the best braking performance and G represents the worst. It is one of the most crucial safety parameters.

Noise

Tyres contribute to the amount of noise a vehicle generates. Choosing a tyre with a good noise rating will lower the impact of your driving on the surrounding environment.
