Product description

Continental VancoContact 2

Type: summer tyre.

Class: premium - modern technology, the highest level of performance.

Intended use: commercial vehicles, vans.

Tread: symmetrical - the most popular solution for delivery tyres.

Commercial vehicles require heavy duty tyres, stronger than models for ordinary passenger cars. Therefore, Continental VancoContact 2 was created to meet the needs of commercial vehicles and vans.

For many years Continental has been recognized as a top tyre manufacturer, highly appreciated by drivers and organisers of tyre tests that awarded the brand with many top marks. Continental VancoContact 2 is a tyre designed specifically for cars with a high centre of gravity that carry heavy loads on a daily basis. It is, first of all, an excellent summer tyre with a homogeneous profile and double ribbing. This design offers you full control and comfortable driving. It's no wonder that many drivers of commercial vehicles choose this tyre.

Another important feature is the fact that Continental VancoContact 2 may be installed on multi-task vehicles. They are ideal not only for small delivery vans, but also for regular utility vans that work everyday as delivery vehicles and on weekends as a family car.

What are the features of the tyre? First of all, it is a tyre with improved grip when braking on dry surfaces. However, on slippery roads after rain, its braking distance is also short. Properly designed incisions and grooves in the tread help the tyre to perform well in difficult weather conditions. Continental VancoContact 2 is considered as a tyre with a very high resistance to skidding, which is provided by its circumferential drainage system and lateral grooves that quickly dries the central part of the tread, eliminating the risk of aquaplaning.

The rigid shoulder of the Continental VancoContact 2 improves its stability and grip even when cornering. Improved durability enables the vehicle to transport heavy loads, which do not cause any damage. This make the tyre safe for drivers and vehicles that carry large loads. Robust and rigid structure also helps to reduce wear of the tread, enabling the user to travel thousands of kilometres without any problems.

Manufacturer Info: Continental, which is the manufacturer of this tyre, is a German company considered as one of the largest and most innovative companies in the automotive industry. The production of tyres is the most important area of company's operation, but it also has another division (ConiTech), which is involved in designing and manufacturing other automotive parts. Continental means the highest quality workmanship and excellent performance.

    Opinion from outside the UK

On dry I have no objections. they run great. They are very predictable, there is no snagging or floating when driving on very hot days on hot asphalt. They are quiet. In the wet: ... driving about 130 km / h in the rain on the motorway I did not notice any disturbing symptoms ... The car does not float... It calmly responds to every movement of the steering wheel and precisely moves on the chosen track (this is well demonstrated about draining water) but ... there was a situation of emergency braking when driving to the lights during rain (car without ABS) and the wheels blocked immediately and after that the car slid forward as if on ice ... There was no feeling resistance that the vehicle brakes or whatever ... However, it may also be partly the fault of the road surface: ruts filled with water and asphalt with a surface as smooth as a glass ... But ... You have to be careful. In all other conditions the tyre behaves exemplarily ... For comparison, I do not recommend Barum Vanis ... You can't even move on a wet because it immediately breaks adhesion ... and we can forget about emergency braking. Therefore, this Continenntal in comparison with Barum is quite sensational ... Opinion from outside the UK

All tyres and wheels were stolen from me. I had to decide on the next one. I was tempted by the appearance and the speed index H-210km / h (with reduced load, of course). I'm a finished idiot. These tyres should not be approved at all after wet tests. Entering a wet corner ends with nervous returning the car to the track. Previously I have GoodYear tyres there. They were overrun and led like on TGV tracks. Where does this company have dignity and respect for customers? Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

After driving 37,500 km on the front drive axle, the tyres have 2 mm tread ... In fact, I will get there somewhere until mid-October, probably when the time for winter tyres come and Continental will go to scrap. I can tell them a maximum of 5,000 km, no more. The tyre from the legendary brand (premium class) unfortunately only qualified for the budget class ... Read more Collapse

I have always bought tyres of this brand and never had a reason to complain. The car I currently have is not a speed demon but at 105HP and 250Nm / 2300rpm they perform very well. Read more Collapse

The tyres are really decent I cannot say a bad word about handling and behavior. Unfortunately, the abrasion is very high - it lasted only one season on the front axle. Read more Collapse
