Scale of scores: Highest lowest

The AllSeasonContact is a novelty by Continental. It is an all-season tyre that, due to its properties, could serve as an excellent alternative for those who want to save time and money. This model is ranked in the top (premium) class, which is distinguished by quality of execution, modern design and the highest level of safety. The product is reliable irrespective of the road and weather conditions.

In winter, its safety and efficiency is guaranteed by the special rubber compound enriched with silica and resins. With this, the tyre remains flexible at low temperatures and the vehicle can be driven firmly and with confidence.

The AllSeasonContact is marked with two symbols: M+S and Alpine. The former determines the tyre's behaviour on snow and slush. Its excellent performance in winter conditions comes from the directional tread that perfectly bites into snow, ensuring a good grip.

The Alpine symbol provides information that AllSesonContact is a tyre that has undergone objective tests for efficiency, safety and control on snow and ice. These tests are carried out according to UNECE regulations. The model will be an excellent companion on your summer travels and will meet the expectations of drivers who want to feel safe while braking on dry and wet surfaces. Additionally, the tyre has a low rolling resistance and is thus economical. Lower fuel consumption levels are obtained with the modern geometry of the side walls and specially designed structure.

Continental was founded in 1871. Their experts are continuously improving their tyres, focusing on driver safety. German technology and the precision of Continental is well known worldwide. The company gained the trust of many drivers with the development of safer treads which facilitate braking in difficult conditions. Continental was the first manufacturer in history to conduct a professional test of winter tyres. In 1953, test vehicles equipped with the first winter tyres by that brand drove up to a height of 2,112 m on the Alpine mountain pass of St. Gothard. Continental owns brands like Semperit, Barum, General Tire, Uniroyal and Viking.

    Opinion from outside the UK

I drove on these tyres for two seasons. I have a car with an automatic gearbox (in the case of unstable road surfaces [slippery], I think this is very important, because with a manual gearbox you have greater and more precise control over the movement of the wheels, such as the moment of engagement and disengagement). I live in the Silesian agglomeration and drive 85% of the time in the city, 10% outside the city (expressways), and 5% in the mountains (Beskidy, Podhale). I have a calm driving style. I will comment on the quality of driving in winter, because I have no complaints about summer. The first winter was fantastic – I was very pleasantly surprised. The tyres did not perform like normal winter tyres, but they were good enough that I did not feel any discomfort when driving calmly in or outside the city. However, I was shocked a year later when, after about 10 cm of wet snowfall, I couldn't leave the car park at Lidl. The fresh, wet snow was compacted by car wheels, but nothing had been sprinkled on it. If it hadn't been for the help of other drivers who helped me push out of the parking space... I would probably have waited until spring. The car park was uneven. It is possible that the wheels got stuck in the compacted, slippery snow in a depression, but other car park users had the same conditions, and only I had a problem leaving. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated case – a similar situation occurred practically after every fresh snowfall – problems with leaving the block of flats, problems with starting on a slight hill. In the case of slightly frozen snow, it is a little better. I was very disappointed with the tyres, which are not even mid-range. I do not know where the high test ratings for all-season tyres came from, which I used as a guide when choosing tyres. Due to the risk and stress associated with every start in fresh snow conditions, I have decided to switch back to winter tyres. I have no intention of carrying a bucket of ash in my boot with the prospect of having to sprinkle it under the wheels soon... I do not believe that other top-rated tyres from the leading all-season tyre tests would perform so differently from the Continentals that I would be tempted to buy all-season tyres again. What we went through last winter was constant stress and enormous irritation. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I bought the tyres sometime around the turn of 2021/2022. A complete set, of course. The worst tyres I've ever had. I absolutely do not recommend them, in fact, I advise against them. After two years, the front tyres cracked at the junction of the sidewall and the tread. Plus, they generally looked like typical potatoes (lots of microcracks). So I replaced them this summer. The rear ones somehow held up. About two months ago, I noticed that at around 130-140 km/h, the two remaining ones I had left (rear) started to make a loud noise. It turned out that the tread had come away from the tyre core on the inside. I always recommended CONTI or Michałki to everyone. But I've always dealt with these manufacturers as typical winter tyres. As for multi-season tyres from this manufacturer, avoid them if you value your life. I don't want to think about what could have happened if I hadn't regularly inspected my car on the ramp every few months. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I had hesitated for a long time to buy them, mainly because of concerns about how they would perform in snow and slush. And I eventually did it; the winter, as short as it was, proved unchallenging to the tyres. And... I am delighted with how well they perform in such difficult conditions. Maybe if I went to the mountains the experience would be a little different, but driving mainly in the lowlands it is excellent. On dry road, I also don't see much difference between the summer ones I've been using so far (also from Continental). And the fact that I no longer have to make an appointment every few months for a swap is a big bonus (no time and money wasted). All in all, given the fact that you save on a second set of tyres and the fact that you have to swap the tyres twice a year, you can generally say that, because of the savings involved, you get free tyres every couple of years. Opinion from outside the UK

Hello, I have been driving on these tyres since April. Unfortunately, I cannot yet assess how they perform in snow, but at temperatures of 0 degrees and with frost on the road, I have never felt a loss of control or slippage. These are my third set of all-season tyres, and the second important thing is the noise level of the tyres. Fortunately, these are very quiet. In another car, I have tyres from a different company, and although they are also a premium brand (GY), I would not recommend them to anyone because they are very noisy when driving. The tyre has a nice tread, and the only problem is that small stones sometimes take a while to come out. I will be able to give a reliable opinion after the winter, but I hope they will not disappoint me. Read more Collapse

Having learned from experience, I know that there are some things you don't save on. Tyres, for example. On my previous tyres in the snow, I was able to drive a few more metres after applying the brake. And every driver knows that a few metres of difference in braking is like stopping in front of the lanes and stopping behind the lanes. The latter is unacceptable. That's why I chose what I thought was the best I could, and it turned out that it actually was. The tyres are excellent on the road and are also quiet. Highly recommended. Read more Collapse

The tyres were tested on both dry and wet road, as well as on snow. They perform without complaint. The braking distance does not differ from my previously used season tyres. They don't make any noise while driving, but they are a tad louder than summer tyres. I was surprised by the behavior of the tyres on snowy road. In my opinion, they are not inferior to winter tyres in any way. I can honestly recommend those premium tyres. Read more Collapse

The tyres compared to the previous ones are great; they hold up well on any road surface. I drive in various conditions; on dry road when moving off I have not managed to lose traction which is a great thing; they grip to wet and snowy road too, at higher speeds they are quiet. I had emergency braking twice it was close, but they managed beautifully, holding on to the asphalt. Highly recommended, well worth the price. Read more Collapse

I highly recommend them. They perform very well on both dry and wet surfaces. When it comes to slush and snow, they grip quite well. They perform well in deeper powder snow. As all-season tyres, they fall a little short of winter tyres, but they still perform well. The tyres themselves are quiet and do not offer too much resistance, so you can save on fuel over the course of a year. Read more Collapse

Great tyres. Been using them for 6 years now. On the previous car without problems for 5 years with still a lot of tread left. I put Continental AllSeasonContact again on the new car shortly after purchase. They perform perfectly on dry asphalt, but theyre also great in winter on snow or slush. I sincerely recommend them!
