The car is used mainly for driving outside the city and there is not much city driving; a requirement at the time of purchase was to meet the expectations of safety (driving with a child in a child seat); other requirements were approximate, often based on opinions - about the durability, reliability, noise or economy of the tyre, all the reviews were positive and the tyre was also tested among friends / family (not always in this size but that's another issue) and the budget - it was supposed to be reasonable as I do not expect to drive on the tyres for 10 years but 2-3 seasons (at 20-30k+ per season it is still quite a lot); so far - I am not disappointed, expectations and impressions are positive, I do not know and cannot yet assess the durability but it is not a tragedy ;) therefore I recommend it because it is a reasonable choice! more »

Goodyear EfficientGrip is a very good tyre on dry surface. On wet, with moderate driving style, suspension in good condition and proper air pressure it’s also excellent. It’s very quiet, compared to my previous Pirelli P7, which was definitely louder, even louder than the winter Michelin Pilot Alpin. I am not able to rate the durability of Goodyear EfficientGrip at the moment because the distance driven is too small to note any signs of wear. Also, I have to emphasize that in order to rate the driving properties of a tyre properly and to fully use its capabilities in all conditions, you have to adjust your wheel alignment correctly, have proper air pressure, correctly working suspension and fully balanced wheels. After I had my new Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres fitted, I did all of this and the tyres do their job perfectly. more »

On snow and slush I had a bit of a surprise when braking, if the snow was ice understand it, but in a few places inhibition was very poor. I do not know if it's really a matter of tires and the pavement was so slippery. more »

Quiet and comfortable

I was looking for some comfortable tyres. The main criteria for me is the noise level. I decided to purchase a set of Goodyear Ultra Grip 9 tyres. I wanted to make my vehicle as comfortable as possible and I am really satisfied. The tyres generate definitely a lower noise than my previous Dunlops. My Mazda 6 became a silent vehicle. The biggest surprise is that they are quieter than my summer tyres. They are very good in winter conditions. I read some reviews about these tyres and I know that the braking distances on snow covered roads are much shorter if compared to predecessor. I bought these tyres for a winter season but I think they would be perfect for summer as well! After doing 3000 miles the Goodyear Ultra Grip 9 tyres still look exactly the same as when they were new. There are no signs of a tread wear. more »

Great tire, just buy the second set for a new car

I changed my car to a Zafira with Goodyear Vector 4Seasons fitted to it, and the tyres are simply great. Both In winter and summer I had no problems. Even when going uphill on snow and ice the did sensationally (on summer one I have been spinning out there, and the corner was even more dangerous). It drains water greatly, redusing the risk of aquaplaning, or something like that (the water in ruts), very stable. I did several thousand miles on them, one third of the distance with the trailer attached they are really durable - taking into consideration the fact that I drive safely. If someone really wanted to find drawbacks, summer Continetal ContiPremiumContacts were quieter and looked nicer - Goodyear Vector 4Seasons looks more like a winter tyre, so it's a fact it's not really beautiful. As for fuel consumption difference, I have not noticed any, and if it is, then it's minimal. I definitely recommend! more »

To be honest, I bought these tyres on the basis of other people's opinions, although I was a bit afraid of all-season tyres on a car that I would use all the time...- I don't regret this decision, as these tyres are simply brilliant!!!! They really do handle a lot of different conditions...- going uphill in winter, on icy or snowy roads, is not a big problem for these tyres... Same with driving on wet roads.... So, if someone has a dilemma and doesn't drive very much yet, plus doesn't have the desire or funds to change tyres or whole wheels, this is really the ideal solution...!!! I recommend!!! I am very satisfied, although of course tyres are not cheap... -but Goodyear, is simply in the super league...- and if you want to save money, you will probably change your tyres often.... :-( more »
