Nokian WR SUV 3 is a pretty quiet tyre which gives superb traction on both dry and wet surface. After doing ca. 3500 miles, my set of these tyres doesn't show any signs of wear, despite the fact they were used in temperatures above zero. I can definitely recommend them - it's one of the best winter tyres I have ever used.

I’ve always heard only good opinions on Nokian tyres from all of their users. The tyres do well in tests and they’re recommended by sellers. I’ve driven on the Hakkapelitta model in Scandinavia myself but in completely different conditions. The only thing that made me cringe is the country of manufacture, which is Russia (because of the situation in Europe). However, I’ve spent my previous winter on the Nokian tyres so I’ve took a chance and bought WR SUV 3. Overall impression is very good. They’re in deed great tyres for snow (better than most of the winter tyres that I’ve ever used before from the premium shelf (mainly Goodyear, Dunlop and Pirelli). For wet weather, because of the aquaplaning I tend to use other tyres though. Once while driving on the highway at a speed of 100 mph the tyre was torn out. That was a first in my entire career. I don’t really know how it could happen as it was the side of the tyre, not tread so my assumption is that it was rather the failure of the tyre and not driving onto something sharp. Pressure, speed index and load capacity were adequate. I do not know what was the reason. I’ll never know. I have this weird impression in the back of my head that this wouldn’t happen if the tyre weren’t made in Russia. On the other hand I’m pretty sure that Nokian’s quality shouldn’t change because of the place of production. Would this make any change if the tyre was produced in a country with higher technical culture? I’m not sure. Sorry Nokian. I gave you a chance, but I don’t know if I want to risk my families life. Make your decision consciously when you buy tyres.
