I've just taken these off to revert to summer option having covered just over 8,000 miles. Rear treads still just showing max 8mm and fronts down to 7mm which is excellent for wear on a heavy SUV. I like the built in numerical tread wear indicators which is very useful. Very positive fast steering response and quiet too. Whilst we hardly had any snow, grip when cold and on ice and in mud when off road is reassuring. One very fast emergency stop in wet conditions and again performed admirably. I needed new summer tyres and on the basis of my above comments I have purchased Nokian again and will review them in due course.

Fantastic performance through the winter. While others were slipping all over the place I never lost traction once. At one point I found myself stopped in a traffic jam of cars facing up hill on a fully snow covered road. Everyone else was struggling to move but I could simply set off without even a hint of wheel spin. A great tyre.

I have Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2, 4x4 with manual locks. Driving in the city on a dry is a pleasure. On the wet it's exactly this same. The car holds on to the road very well. And now the best part: I was driving up the hill in 20-25ºC in deep sand – I was driving on these tyres and only I was able to get to the top with a friend of mine on the quad (of course quad was on other tyres). Lads in Uaz, Mercedes G (old model) and Ford Ranger didn't make it. While driving on the motorway 105mph the car also holds on to the road. I would definitely recommend this tyre to all. Previously I had a Bridgestone Dualer as the first equipment. The first rainfall after buying a car and in five minutes traction control on the asphalt saved me twice. The manufacturer has used the width of the tire to the maximum so the tread is literally from the edge to the edge of the balloon. When we look at the car from the behind it looks like I would wear a tyre two sizes wider.
