I had an older model with Continental in the past. I admit that I was pleasantly surprised with the way they go through complaint procedures (one was damaged and they replaced two, so that there would be no difference in tread depth. I really liked those tyres and so I bought a newer model and it is superb in deep snow. I was always the first one on the lights :D. Didn't have a chance to test them on the ice but the way they work in corners is great. Continental ContiWinterContact TS800 might be a bit loud when travelling at speed but for me the main thing when looking for a tyre was girp in snow and on the wet. ADAC wasn't wrong in saying that these are particularily worth recommending.
