BluEarth-XT AE61 are premium-class tyres designed for 4x4 (AWD) vehicles. They are made by the renowned Japanese company Yokohama. They have been designed for the summer season, so they are perfect for dry surfaces at high temperatures and in the event of a sudden downpour.
The model is characterised by an asymmetric tread with four straight grooves, which are designed to drain water effectively. This is assisted by bladings and additional small transverse grooves. Moreover, the sides of the Yokohama BluEarth-XT AE61 are adequately stiff, which increases the driver's control over the car. The surface in contact with the ground has been designed to have a uniform pressure. As a result, the tyre is more stable when driving in a straight line and wears evenly.
The Yokohama brand decided to use a new rubber compounding technology - A.R.T. Mixing in the BluEarth-XT AE61. Due to the combination of silica and polymers, it was possible to obtain a compound that guarantees shorter braking distances on wet surfaces while positively affecting the car's fuel consumption.
