Yokohama BluEarth-4S AW21 is the debut of an experienced Japanese premium-class manufacturer on the European market for all-season tyres. Advanced multiseason solutions, valued for years in the Land of the Rising Sun, have been fully adapted to the needs of weather conditions and expectations of drivers on the Old Continent.
The model is designed for performance on icy and snow-covered surfaces. It also performs well in typically rainy conditions. Versatile tyre competence is due to the tread with a directional block layout. The grooves sharply reach the central zone and transport water quickly, and their deeper construction also works well with mud and snow.
The even tread blocks with clear edges and massive pads in the shoulder zones provide even operation during the year-round driving. They are responsible for expanding the contact zone of the tyre with the surface, increasing the number of junction points. The model thus retains greater grip and stability, protecting against uncontrolled slipping.
The effect was possible thanks to a modern rubber compound based on polymers and a silica additive. It maintains optimal winter flexibility and adequate stiffness in summer, protecting against deformation.

Opinion from outside the UK
On snow and even ice a dramatic difference in their favour after changing from Bridgestone summer tyres. The car started to listen to commands and drive smoothly. I have no complaints on the response in corners and when starting. It "sticks" to the road surface, with no understeer effects.
