    Opinion from outside the UK

It will probably be the fourth winter I use Uniroyal MS Plus 66, and I surprisingly still have full 6 mm of tread! These are great tyres, they do an excellent job both in extreme mountain conditions - driveways, parking lots covered with ice, drifts, fresh snow - as well as in the city. In the city it can be confirmed by the fact, that I can park my car anywhere, even with the front axle (my car is a front wheel drive) in a deep snow drift, and I will always get out of it without any problems. They disperse water nicely, therefore they fulfill their duties in autumn and early spring. I would like to add that once abroad, I managed to get on a narrow snow-covered bridge, where once was a parking lot and it was the closest to the nearest skiing lift. After crossing the bridge, the car with some trouble but firmly went uphill without stopping through fresh snow with slippery old ice underneath - you know what I mean, the most treacherous and slippery type. I was driving and I was surprised that there were no tyre marks. Eventually, I arrived to my destination. In the place where the parking lot was once, now it was only a rent-a-ski shop and service. In front of it there was a Subaru Impreza, which is known obviously for its 4WD drive and its good traction. The guy form the service got out very surprised that I managed to get up there, as he was checking the snow, talking something about his car and checking my Uniroyal MS Plus 66 tyres. And I did that without using chains. I only had these tyres fitted, and it happened during my third winter of using them! Uniroyal MS Plus 66 are great tyres for decent price. I can recommend them with a clear conscience. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

To say it short, I paid 135 pounds for four Uniroyal MS Plus 66 tyres in the size 195/65R15. For this price I wouldn’t find anything that could be close in performance to these tyres.I have been using them for one season now, and I wonder how will they behave next season. I had small traction breaks during starting, but I think it’s because of my engine. I can’t compare them properly because earlier I had a different car. As for the behaviour of Uniroyal MS Plus 66 on snow, it’s hard for me to say. Everyday driving is fine, but I got stuck a few times this season. However, it’s difficult to compare this winter to other winter seasons. There was at least one foot of snow on the parking lots, and driving in with a low-suspended car had probably to end like that. They have never surprised me during driving. One drawback which has to be mentioned (someone already wrote about it) is that they hum when cornering. During normal driving the noise is as low as on summer tyres, but when you enter the corner you hear the humming. I thought it was a bearing, but the humming disappeared after switching to summer tyres. But generally, if you want to buy a good tyre at a price up to 40-50 pounds, Uniroyal MS Plus 66 is the perfect tyre. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Uniroyal MS Plus 66 are good tyres - worth the money spent on them. I can’t complain about their behaviour on dry and wet, starting and driving on snow is good as well, only the braking is a bit worse. The noise level is a little higher than in summer tyres, but it doesn’t lower your driving comfort. I considered buying tyres from different manufacturers (Continental, Dunlop or Michelin), but found Uniroyal MS Plus 66 cheaper and decided to take a chance and buy them - I think it was worth it as I saved ca. 30 pounds per tyre. In previous cars I had Continental TS780 and TS790, Goodyear UG 7 and, to be honest, I can’t see any significant differences in favor of the expensive brands (and compared to the TS790, in some aspects there’s a difference in favor of Uniroyal MS Plus 66). To sum up, these tyres are worth buying, you just have to be a bit careful when braking on snow. And also, do not get over-excited by the opinions of “extremely quiet tyre” or comments like “all others were stuck and I drove out easily”. These tyres are not extremely quiet and they do not stand out with their traction – they’re just very good tyres at a very good price. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Uniroyal MS Plus 66 is a sensational tyre. It costs as much as Barum and other budget tyres, but behaves no worse than premium ones. So far, I see only advantages: splendid comfort (they have a very soft compound, I gues they will be wearing off quite fast, as the ADAC test shows), great handling on slush (I recently have driven in heavy blizzards and didn’t even feel that the road is slippery, but on the other hand, my car is a Subaru). Uniroyal MS Plus 66 have very soft sidewalls and I thought they wouldn’t be much of good on dry, but apparently I was wrong. They are at least as good as my previous Yokohama AVS Winter, however the Yokohamas had much worse braking, especially on wet. Yes, they are great on water. Aquaplaning is almost non-existent, I was shocked how these tyres cut through the water! And they almost don’t slide. It was a great bargain to get them for 90 pounds. I definitely recommend them to everyone. Don’t spend twice as much on Goodyear, Michelin, Bridgestone or Continental because there’s no point in doing so. However, if the wear will be rapid as I presume, I will have small doubts about buying Uniroyal MS Plus 66 again. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I bought Uniroyal MS Plus 66 basing on my good experience with Uniroyal summer tyres. And I wasn’t disappointed this time as well, although most people who see that I have these tyres fitted to my car wanders and tries to figure out where this brand is from. The fact that these tyres are not as well-known on the market as other widely advertised brands doesn’t mean anything, as I found out. I find it a perfect winter tyre for this price. I finally have silence in the car on winter tyres. I generally have nothing to complain about, everything you require from a winter tyre is present and guaranteed here - the rest is up to the driver, their mind and skills, because if someone thinks that spending a lot of money on expensive tyres allows them not to use their brains, then I guess such drivers won’t find proper tyres. I compared these tyres to Kormoran, Dunlop and Barum in the same price range. And in my opinion, Uniroyal MS Plus 66 outclasses the others in every way possible. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I was hesitating over choosing good winter tyres at a reasonable price and I eventually chose Uniroyal MS Plus 66 in the size 195/65R15 91 T, I did one winter season on them already and I found them behave sensationally (winter 2009). It was worth spending every penny on them, as my Passat worked like a snow plough on them, I was able to drive out from the thickest snow (ca. 1 foot snow cover, uphill), I also think that my car model also had some influence on it. After the season, my tyres look like brand new - no visible signs of wear. They also do a really good job on slush. I’m surprised by some opinions stating that they are weak on slippery surfaces - you just have to drive sensibly because even the best tyres or car will not ensure safety on ice, so it’s not to be taken fully seriously. I can definitely recommend Uniroyal MS Plus 66 – buy them and you won’t regret it! Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Uniroyal MS Plus 66 is great on wet surface. ABS doesn’t even bother to switch in when braking in rainy conditions. Water dispersion is also good. I also don’t have anything to complain about when it comes to driving on dry, as it also grips well. On snow it’s also good and always predictable - although it could be better. But we can’t expect miracles from a middle class tyre – I find it still a fine tyre. On compressed snow (snow-covered road) the car drives confidently, doesn’t swerve to the sides, you can go faster than others. Braking on road covered with both snow and ice is average, ABS switches on quite often. I find them a bit better in every aspect than the Goodyear UG7 + and a little worse than the old Firestone Winterhawk. UG7 only has better traction on snow and icy roads. If I had to choose between Goodyear and Uniroyal MS Plus 66, I would choose the latter. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Uniroyal MS Plus 66 sensationally grip on snow and, what is interesting, on ice as well(although the notes in the test are various in this aspect). They are quiet and very comfortable, with a small note - at certain speeds you can hear silent humming, but it’s not disturbing and can be heard only in rough pavement at ca. 55 MPH. There is only one thing you have to watch out for.The tyres manufactured in Romania are hard to balance. I’ve balanced them 4 times and each time after leaving the workshop I felg vibrations – and the tyres were tested in different workshops. However, recently I have re-checked them again and it appeared that the tyres have different balancing values each time. Finally, I managed to balance them and now I am driving normally. Apart from that one aspect, Uniroyal MS Plus 66 are sensational and I can recommend them with a clear conscience. Read more Collapse

I bought Uniroyal MS Plus 66 tyres basing on reviews from this website, and it’s not for the first time. I fitted them to my wife’s car with intention for city driving, so no motorway speeds. Sometimes I also drive her car and I did ca. 900 miles on these tyres. These tyres simply grip perfectly! I have Pirelli SnowSport tyres in my Mondeo, it’s my second set of those, but I guess it’s because I’m used to them. I do not know how would they behave at high speeds outside the city (because Pirelli are fine there) but in mixed conditions and on interchangeable surface Uniroyal MS Plus 66 outclass Pirelli in every way. I’ve tried different tricks - sudden braking on straights and in the corners, fast bends, rush starting – and they are sensational, no matter whether it is wet, snow or slush, they still keep their grip. I recommend these tyres with a clear conscience. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Despite the fact that this year’s winter wasn’t too harsh and didn’t allow to test these tyres in severe conditions, I’m very happy with my purchase of these tyres. The tyres grip the road firmly and driving in the rain, even heavy one, and through the puddles is not a problem. “Uniroyal MS Plus 66 is a solid middle class tyre, highly recommended for drivers who appreciate quality at a reasonable price” – I have rewritten this sentence from the manufacturer’s advert, because I fully agree with it. The only thing you need to get used to is audible humming heard in sharp corners which require to reduce speed to 25-30 MPH, but it’s just a minor point which doesn’t affect the overall assessment. If nothing better appears on the market, I will exchange my tyres with a new set of Uniroyal MS Plus 66 (and it depends on their wear – as for now, it’s OK). Read more Collapse

I bought tyres for the winter in 2009. It was a very successful purchase. Tyres are performing very well in all conditions. I had a chance to check them in mountain conditions (road from Bialka Tatra in Slovakia and back, a total of about 200 miles) and it was not any problems with the uphill climbs, the inhibition of the mountains or riding in the corners. After the snow can move dynamically. The tyre provides confident handling and driving feel. For dry and wet asphalt also preserves very well. Handling and braking is certain, no surprises. The tyre is fully predictable. For this price, you should buy these tyres. I would certainly buy it again. Read more Collapse

Previously, I would go to MS plus 5 (zajeździłem 2 sets). I bought it by accident - I was just sale - and I was shocked. After years of riding on Debica, Michelin, Goodyear believed that winter tyre must be loud and generally kiepskawa. Meanwhile, Uniroyal are great in the snow (like most of the output winter tyres. Michelin) and even better on the water. In dry conditions almost hard to tell the difference from the summer. Because of this, I rode last season until mid-April, which resulted in a strong tread wear. For two years the winter, especially in the north Polish, is snow in a single day. On the road in the winter often we have to deal with the water / brine than snow and ice. Hence my choice of Uniroyal. The tire is doing fantastically on the water - especially in the corners under water - so far not even a trace of slip. In a single day snow, even in the field, there was a problem. Likewise, as regards the inhibition of bad weather snow. My only criticism is not very high comfort. The tires are relatively noisy at high speeds - may to this przywyczaić. In conclusion - this product is a great value for money. I highly recommend it. Read more Collapse

I bought the tyres on the analysis of opinion. after driving 10 000 (in about 70% of the area of routes 200 + outside the city), I can say the are a good choice for the price. the wet stick very well, it takes quite an aggressive entry into a turn to feel the "escape forward". under dry conditions are quiet (for winter tyres). great exercise in the snow and allow for a lot of the snow-covered road (on the way to Zieleniec (dollars), you can be pretty fun, tyres respond well to the gas pedal and quickly draw the slip). Use satisfaction, while not really biting price. This is exactly what I expected. if I spend winter time in the city and at such an angle mostly made was a choice, not a problem to go back to the rubber, on a sunny day in March, and often crossing the suggested speed for longer travel on the roads. the rain gets extra points. I am very pleasantly surprised how the tyre behaves in water, do not feel any jerk even after entering into a deep puddle. Also behaves well in the snow. I would definitely recommend. I have not failed, it is true I did not have any extreme adventures on the road but in normal use did not occur to me to think that something was wrong with the tyres. In general, I did not think about them. Yes, that's probably good. I can rely on them. In the winter, they are OK, I do not know how the "crazy road" - in such a way that they have not tested. Recommendable tyres - perfect for a really low price. In no way inferior top-class producers. Provide security on the road. They can quickly wipe - are really miękie but thanks to perfectly fulfill their role. There is nothing for free :). I recommend all you want to quickly and safely reach your destination. Well, winter has shown what he can do! These tyres also have shown what they can do! It's amazing that others in the same position they could not move, and I just ejected!! Braking? Auto rears! It is difficult to say whether we are going in the snow or on the asphalt! Best winter tyres I have ever had!! Read more Collapse

These are some of the best tyres I have had the opportunity to use it. Driving on snow and slush very good car in these conditions acts natural. Very good grip. Up the hill from the garage in the snow with a locked one wheel went without a problem. I recommend these tyres and my next purchase is just that. Read more Collapse

porzedniej tyre generation possessed MS plus 55 I was so pleased with them for the season 2008/2009 I decided to buy the Uniroyal MS plus already 66th Now, after the modest progress that the judge is as good as the previous one, slightly louder.
