Firestone TZ300 tyres are comfortable and predictable. Absolute traction parameters cannot be rated neither for 6 nor for 5 because there are much bette tyres, and on dry 6 would be for a slick and 5 for a sports tyre. For a civilian tyre, the parameters are very good. Decent handling, taking some really aggressive driving into account, and thus, the tyres give a lot of confidence. They are also good on wet, although not as much as Uniroyal tyres. Braking can be also also rated for 4-5. The tyre is very trustworthy - it handles aggressive treatment in a 200 BHP car very well and does a good job in handling the power. They can "indicate" when you are about to lose grip nicely, but they also don't lean in like aforementioned Uniroyals.. For this price, Firestone TZ300 is a tyre worth recommending. Tyres grip in the corners very well. With my dynamic driving style I've practically never experienced any over- od understeer. They behave great on wet and dry surface. The only drawback is the fact they can cause a wheelspin when starting on wet. When braking on wet the Firestone TZ300 are already very good. Unfortunately my tyre cracked across the tread line, between the grooves, at the edge of the tyre. A crack was about an inch long - and all I could do was to scrap the tyre after two seasons and about 15 000 miles (and I onl drive in the city and a bit outside of it). Firestone TZ300 is a superb tyre if we treat it in accordance with its intended purpose - use from spring to late autumn.
