Gute Fahrt 185/60 R15 very good 1
Scale of scores: Highest lowest

The Dunlop SP Sport 01 offers outstanding performance and a pleasant drive in any road and weather conditions. The tyre's asymmetric tread is divided into three independent zones responsible for different features, such as resistance to aquaplaning, driving comfort and sporty performance. The cutting-edge silica-enhanced compound used to manufacture the tyre improves grip on wet roads, and the specially profiled tread blocks guarantee the rapid dispersal of water from under the tyre. The Dunlop SP Sport 01 has been designed to cancel out the most irritating audible frequencies and therefore delivers a quiet and comfortable drive in any conditions, whereas the tread pattern has been designed for even wear in order to improve mileage performance and driving comfort.

By preventing heat build-up and maintaining its shape even in extreme conditions, the tyre offers superb handling at high speed as well as precision in negotiating corners and greater stability during dynamic, sporty manoeuvres. The tyre features a number of innovations which improve both the performance and the safety of the Dunlop SP Sport 01. These include the rim protection system, which is located on the tyre's sidewall and creates a protective buffer zone to prevent mechanical damage to the rim such as edge wear.

Dunlop

Dunlop is among the brands which belong to the US-owned Goodyear Group, and is particularly well-known for its successes in the field of motor sports. Dunlop was the official tyre supplier for the British Touring Car Championship between 2003 and 2006, and also supplies tyres for the 8 Supercars Championship. The company specialises in high-performance tyres (HP and UHP) which deliver outstanding handling during sports and dynamic driving. Dunlop tyres are popular among both drivers and specialists, as can be seen from the many successes achieved by the brand in independent tyre tests.

Dunlop SP Sport 01 are not that expensive if you take their performance under consideration. I was thinking about going for SP9000 but I finally decided to go for Dunlop SP Sport 01 and I do not regrett it. Thanks to the mid part of the tread you can almost forget about the torque steer in your powerfull FWD (my car has 230bhp). On dry tarmac they are very good, but while cornering aggresively the outter part of the tyre rubbs of pretty quickly. Any other part of the tread is quite resistance to the attriction. Dunlop SP Sport 01 are the most silent tyres that I ever had in my life. The image is not that awesome, but for me the look of the tyre is not the most crucial thing. Dunlop SP Sport 01 is intended to improve car control and safety. I have W index, but I had no opportunity to drive more than 130 MPH. I do recommend them for sure. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I got those Dunlop SP Sport 01 with my new car. They seemed to be new (they still had those coloured stripes on the tread surface). About 7-8 mm of the tread left. RIght now I have made about 20k miles on them. I still have about 4mm tread left. I drive dynamically and it doesn't natter if it is in the city or outside of it. I do fast cornering, I like to move-off dynamically as well. On dry road surface Dunlop SP Sport 01 behaves very well. I have no restrictions in regards to it's dry road performance. On wet road surface their grip is still ok, the problem starts with moving-off on wet road surface. In addition I have quite a few horses in my Vectra so I like to show those youngsters on the traffic lights how a Vauxhall can perform. All in all Dunlop SP Sport 01 is a decent tyre and I do recommend them for sure. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Very good tyres. Some time ago I've had Barums fitted to my car and Dunlop SP Sport 01 are way better. Very durable and silent tyres. I am an agressive driver so I do not spare my tyres at all. I brake very agressively as well. For now Dunlop SP Sport 01 perform very good in my car and they are definitely worth my recommendation. On those tyres your driving comfort will upgrade for sure. You can feel their awesomeness almost on every road surface. It does not matter whether is rainy or sunny. Dunlop SP Sport 01 are going to do their job no matter what the road condition is. All in all I will never ever buy other tyres than Dunlops. Their quality is just top class and I recomend those tyres to all the people out there who would like to have a better driving comfort in their cars. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I bought my Dunlop SP Sport 01 last year and since now I'ce made about 6000 miles. I noticed that on tarmac the tyre is absolutely silent but it also effects from my tyre size, as they are not that wide to generate huge noise. Very good comfort which actually makes Dunlop SP Sport 01 probably the most comfortable tyre I have ever driven on. There are no skids, no slips. While braking it feels like the tyre literaly bites the tarmac. The only disadvantage that I noticed is that while driving long corners you feel like on a rocking chair ( i think that the soar is caused by 65 profile of my tyre). Dunlop SP Sport 01 performs pretty well on wet road surface as well. There are no slips at all and thanks to the water drainage the tyre is pretty resistant to aquaplaning. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

My previous ContiPremiumContact were splendid. I knew what I was expecting from a tyre so I decided to go for Dunlop SP Sport 01. I am a demanding person if it is about automotive things. Actaully both tyres are pretty good till 75MPH. Above that speed, while cornering I think that Continentals were much better than Dunlop SP Sport 01. My car is just swimming in the corners. I think that cornering was a huge advantage of my previous Continentals which I cannot say the same about my present Dunlop SP Sport 01. To be honest Dunlop is much better on wet road surface but I think that I have this feeling as my Continentals had about 4mm of the tread left which was not sufficient. All in all Dunlop SP Sport 01 is good at speeds not higher than 75 mph. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I have put Dunlop SP Sport 01 to my Vauxhall Astra Kombi 1/6 16V. I drove about 30k miles and I think that I will be able to make 5k more, no doubt on that. I have to say that my Dunlop SP Sport 01 behaved pretty good in the begining but it is nothing unusual. Behavior on the wet road surface is just phenomenal. I think that I had no skids and no slips since I started to use these tyres. No aquaplaning. Shorter braker distance. Very good handling. Right now after 30k my ABS started to turn on on wet road surface while braking aggresively but it is not a problem. I do not drive like Sebastian Loeb, but I am not a granny as well. I think that my next tyres will be Dunlop SP Sport 01. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I drove on Dunlop SP Sport 01 about 30k miles. Nothing unusual, but please bear in mind that I bought them second hand and they had about 5mm of the tread left. I think that I will make 10k more without any problems. In my 4x4 they performed just absolutely amazing. It is very hard to break the grip while moving off. I really do enjoy driving on them, but my garage advised me that there are better tyres available on the market. I usually drive with speeds over 50 mph. It is my first powerfull car with 4x4, previously I had Laguna so not that powerful car. To sum up, Dunlop SP Sport 01 was a very good choice for me and I do recommend them. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

In my opinion Dunlop SP Sport 01 is pretty silent and comfortable. They are very good on both dry/wet road surfaces and they are pretty confident while cornering - that's all if it is about their advantages. In my opinion Dunlop SP Sport 01 is too soft. Behavior on wet road surface is just a tragedy. Braking is just awfull. The tyre is just swimming in the corners. What is more, as Dunlop SP Sport 01 is a very soft tyre it rubbs of veeeeery quickly. I drove about 10k on it and I have about 5mm of the tread left. I do not recommend them. I am sure that there are much better tyres than Dunlop SP Sport 01 available on the market. Opinion from outside the UK

Dunlop SP Sport 01 are just average. But this is not the most important thing. After I drove about 10k on them it started to be freakin noisy in my car. I thought that maybe I have a serious problem with me bearings. I went to the garage to check what is going on with the noise and it occured that bearings are ok and the suspension is ok as well. They've put new tyres to my car and suddenly the noise disappeared. I have a written opinion from my garage and I will start an official complaint with the manufacturer. All in all in my opinion there are a lot of better tyres on the market than Dunlop SP Sport. Read more Collapse

I have a mixed feeling about my Dunlop SP Sport 01. On dry road surface they are absolutely ok. On wet road surface the situation is a bit different. Still, thanks to birlliant water draining they are pretty much resistant to aquaplaning, but while moving off and braking on wet road surface with ABS an ESP on my car slips like crazy. They are not good for heavier cars. They do not hold a car while cornering. Even on roundabouts at speeds of 25 mph Dunlop SP Sport 01 squeaks. All in all I think that there are better tyres at that price available on the market. Read more Collapse

On snow and ice - tragedy ( I know that these are summe rtyres- but there are tyres on the market that perform much better). You have to put winter tyres just before the first snow falls down- otherwise you will have a lot of troubles with going to the tyre fitter. On dry road surface they are OK. On wet road surface they are not that good. Advantages: pretty silent and very good driving comfort. I do not judge the image. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

good tyre but only for one season. to be honest I was expecting something better. but to the point. while the new tyres behave very well both on dry and wet surfaces, keeping the corners pretty good. Unfortunately tread disappears in the blink of an eye. full tread, I managed to ride only 12000 - 13000 km for me it is a terrible result. another problem is that when tyre reaches the mid-tread tyres that are either no longer safe. namely, in dry conditions yet but let's just stick falls and everyone can not be a sharper turn to beat with greater speed really should be very careful. about the noise and the resistance does not have any objection for the life of normal. good tyres summing up in one two seasons. while new everything ok but after fatal. oh I forgot to add terribly hard tyre is suitable for sports cars. the limousines discourage a lot. suspension gets. generally not recommended. I have nothing to complain about the tyres. Very good adhesion on dry asphalt, wet little worse. Noise below the noise level of the air (inaudible inside the car). Judging from the current rate of consumption should still be enough for at least 30 thousand. km. They have a good appearance and are relatively inexpensive compared to other branded tyres (254 zł / pc delivery in 2008) They also Przejeździłem winter. Unfortunately, the snow and ice traction and braking performance very limited (especially with ABS). It is easy to get bogged down on nieodśnieżonym parking lot or in front of the garage. But this is a typical summer tyres. Acceptably low rolling resistance - the economical style of driving for 60 liters ON I manage to summer przejeździć up to 1000 km (2003 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI 130HP), the fuel consumption can be reduced to 6l/100km. So far I am pleased with them. Read more Collapse

I put these tyres and I went on a weekend Masuria. It rained almost the whole time I had the opportunity to check them out in really heavy traffic conditions and they are just great. At times I was driving up to 170 km / h on wet pavement and the car smoothly changed lanes. No swimming, no drift as evidenced by the lack of interference ESP full control. Braking in wet - just a revelation. You can practically push the pedal to the floor and the car immediately slows down, ABS began to interfere only below 40 km / h I love it. In the previous tyre braking in the wet activated in virtually any speed. In addition, the tyre is not whistles, hums and does not seem any other unpleasant sounds. Just a good rubber. I think that with such a powerful engine for driving axle easily withstand 50 - 60 thousand km which is a really good result. I would recommend. Read more Collapse

I bought these tyres with the new Audi A3. I will say that you can not ride it maybe just straight and to 100km / h The tyre is a strange thing that throws curves the car back out. Even worse situation at speeds above 160km / h Car becomes unstable like to feel the wind blew even though it is not there. After two months I mentioned the use of winter tyres trivia, and immediately return to normal. Finally, the car behaves correctly both in curves and at higher speeds. Another spring also greet Primancy michałkach HP. No more dunlop or anything that is of this group especially with the inscription made in Poland. Great tyres on dry asphalt, wet (even in deep ruts full of water!) Were good until you reach about 30 thousand km - after that the car ran like the ice, even with little rainfall ... Abrasion at normal levels (including drove them 70 thousand. Km - when disposing of the flag there is still about 1 - 1.5 mm). Unfortunately, the end use of one of the tyres (the maturing winter - on wheels) did not give a balance - a total of about 140g and then slightly beaten - unfortunately identified as professionals, interior design probably has self-destruct ;) tyre rim was not damaged because of another the tyre is balanced at about 20g of lead. I can recommend these tyres, but he will not buy it again ... For me the most important thing is good handling in the wet - dry each tyre on my caravan continues :) Read more Collapse

Tire 195 / 60R15 88H, the production of 2010 years Germany. Purchased in summer 2010. Driven about 30000 km. Auto really fun to be on the leading, reliable, does not swim very Pen of the corners. The only drawback is the noise that came about after years of use - but it might because it is hard. But it is not loud - just heard the tire. It seems durable. In my opinion is better than Bluresponse (at least this made in Poland), which in turn is very soft and no longer offers such certainty while driving (swimming car). It is a pity that the SP Sport 01 is no longer produced. Generally I would recommend, but beware: I think it is important to the country of manufacture. Hi I drove all last season on these tyres and I'm very pleased. Tyres are rigid (goodyeary, klebery were more soft) tyres that are not very quiet. In a dry run very well precisely and reliably inhibition also ok (abs she could hardly turn), the wet is also well you just have to careful when braking abs here already makes itself know. I am sincerely pleased with them and the best of the past which drove (XH1 Michelin, Kleber Viaxer, gt goodyear, goodyear NCT5, barum), aha change the tyres must be early, in the fall to zero przyszepnosci the snow and late spring. If someone drivin normally do not chat up girls to squeal the tyres will serve some time. I would recommend. Hello! Tyres bought fairly recently, I wanted to buy another of the company's G. .. but he quickly told not to me and I think I know why, after I had a chance to compare ... not significant. As for the tyres I will not repeat the opinion of other users on the dry-surface, it is very good just going round bends it can have a great time, 160 on the corner is not a problem for her. But that's not what I wanted to say, I wanted to draw attention to its performance in wet conditions. I think that is unrivaled in this price range, once I had a very hurry to Lodz (320 km from home) and driving in the rain arrived in 3h10m, in spite of the rain tyre to 160 runs perfectly but then it feels that no longer allowed. .. Wybulwiło me one in two places while driving without driving over the hole. Sound like a dull metallic thud on probation. Ie cracked rubber around the blades, the edges of blades and asphalt poszczerbane chuczały worse than winter tyres. The complaint thread. Hi, definitely very good value for money, the tyre is not breathtaking, but for the price very good offers. Behavior on dry and wet roads more than correct. Probably my rating would have been higher if not for the fact that a few months after the purchase, I got the Volvo S40 auto business, and with them GoodYear F1 s and Ultra Grip6 and they showed me how big the difference is divided into these tyres. Taking into account the differences in class of course cars, I can confidently say that especially UltraGripy6 are unbeatable, compared to Kleberów that I have in Stilo. In conclusion, it repeats again considering the price is the quality of the tyres is very good, but keep in mind that there are much better ... but more expensive. Read more Collapse

Tyres perfectly remove water when going through deep puddles, be when driving in the pouring rain (in the pouring rain tested the Zakopianka). Amazingly quiet. Behavior in dry conditions as much as possible OK, although you should take into consideration car class (compact) and power only 100HP - so almost every tyre will offer sufficient traction. However, when it comes to behavior in a storm I see a drastic difference to the factory Bridgestone'ow B391 (for the benefit of Dunlop). I would recommend because of the attractive value / quality (also I'm going to buy winter Dunlopy SP Winter Sport 3D). Objective tyre tests in a "laboratory" presents the German ADAC and the Swiss TCS, it is worth before buying roam. Read more Collapse

My Dunlop tyres in size 195/55/R16 SP1 run on the original alufelagach in Ibiza 1.9TDI 131HP Seacie 2002 and I can not for one bad word to say. Stick to the road sensational, it's probably their main advantage, starting and braking is a pleasure, a quick ride in the bends is mega cool for them and above all, safe fun (although the daily workout safely, then the tyre wants to go faster time .. .). For example turn in the Continental Tyre who in similar size includes about 80-90km / h enters 110-120km/hi I do not squealing. In summary tyre for 5 or even 6, reportedly wears faster than the competition, but so far have not noticed. August starts and stops great, riding in a bend - a fairy tale. And this quiet. RECOMMEND! Honestly - after 45 000 km lent itself to the dustbin but dojeździłem to 60 000 up to one rip through. On the water cool, driving 150 km / h on the straight wet roads did not raise uncertainty and the possibility of loss of grip. it can be faster but I do not recommend because of the desire to live. Opinion from outside the UK

As for me, this Dunlop SP Sport 01 is one of the best gum in which I was able to move so far. I was extremely pleased with them until the wear of the tyre in 50 -60%. As they did in the consumption of more and harder and feeling much worse behaved on the water, where he had felt as if the car was glued to the road, but this phenomenon seems to be normal - at least for me. Although 80% of the time, car use in urban conditions, but sometimes I go on a long trip (the route). I rode superbly on these tyres on the highway, even at 160 - 200 km / h no knocks to my ears, noise nuisance, I can safely say that the SP 01 are quiet. I have no objections. Read more Collapse

Definitely the quietest tyres which so far was using. Because they have an asymmetric tread will "teethe". They provide good comfort and a good grip on dry and wet roads. Categorize them into soft tyres because the average cost of attrition very good adhesion and low noise. Something for something. The only drawback I noticed is a delicate side surface compared to other tyres. Really easy to damage them on our potholed roads. "They are able to" get tumors after driving through the crack in the asphalt. I bought them because I ordered it and I'm very pleased. This is my second set of tyres, and probably not the last. Tyres bought in the spring of 2003, after a long search, przeglądaniach various tests, etc. Now they have driven 75 ffm and I have to say something about them. For dry are very good, handling, braking and cornering grip, I can not fault them - drives like on rails :)). Wet have little problem with fast starts, sometimes like zabuksować wheels. The braking on wet I had no problem keeping it in the corners well. What to wear is a big plus of this tyre, with my style of driving the course of 75 ffm have about 3 - 4 mm! Generally did not impress me even once, a tyre. In the winter just bought Dunlop SP Winter Response. I recommend! Read more Collapse

Focusy (especially combo) and Astra II (or combo) - some types of "can" jag TE tyres on the rear axle / / used to set the geometry and checked in a number of service centers - is by. good car manufacturer's guidelines and that the bank is apparently teething characteristics of the suspension / / My advice is to replace from time to time (about 6-8 weeks) rear rubber on the front and back. Then uses poząbkowane tyres evenly and quickly theback forward "reach". When we do not do it niemiłosierny.Poza the tyre noise is about holding the road, so that time is not used for making sense of balance. Read more Collapse
