The tyre meets the European Union's requirements for winter tyres
Carries the 3PMSF (Three Peak Mountain Flake) symbol, which is awarded after the model in question has been thoroughly tested for snow grip.
BFGoodrich Winter Slalom Ksi is a winter-use tyre which has been optimized for 4x4 (including SUVs) vehicles for driving on winter roads. This tyre delivers maximum control, good grip and braking on snow or ice, and very good handling on dry roads too.
BFGoodrich Winter Slalom Ksi offers impressive control on snow or ice for two main reasons. Firstly the tyre utilizes a dense network of sipes which run in two directions and these help the tyre “pull away” from a standing start, and deliver shorter braking distances. Secondly the shoulders of the tyre encourage the rapid removal of slush and water, whilst giving excellent mobility in deep snow too.
BFGoodrich Winter Slalom Ksi utilizes an optimized rubber compound in the construction of the tyre, to deliver very good grip and a reduction in braking distances. The grip is further improved by a wide surface area of the tread, allowing the tyre better road contact.
BFGoodrich Winter Slalom Ksi uses bi-direction slats to give the car maximum stability and precision handling. The tyre tread has been optimized to make the tyre wear uniformly and evenly. This ensures the tyre needs to be replaced less frequently as premature wear is prevented.
BFGoodrich Company was started by Benjamin Franklin Goodrich in 1870. It started as a rubber company, but then manufactured its first car tyre 10 years later. In 1903, their tyres were noticed by Henry Ford who used them on his premier model A. In 1977, they were even installed on a space shuttle.
