Accelera X-Grip Snow

3PMSF The presented tyre is marked with 3PMSF symbol (Three Peak Mountain Snow Flake). It means that the tyre meets the EU requirements for winter tyres. The symbol is awarded after thorough tests of a tyre model in terms of snow grip.

Tyre details: If you are looking for an affordable and safe winter tyre which will prove itself in variable weather conditions, Accelera X-Grip Snow is a good option.

The tyre uses a tread with a directional pattern, which is most often applied by the manufacturers of winter tyres. It gives its best performance in conditions typical for this season; slush, snow and icy surfaces. The wide circumferential grooves efficiently drain water and slush from under the crown ply, ensuring fast drying of the tyre’s surface, and thus a good grip even in extreme weather conditions. Narrow notches and numerous grooves make the tyre “bite” into the snowy road, ensuring a smooth start and a shorter braking distance.

The use of a special rubber compound providing flexibility in a wide range of temperatures guarantees a larger area of contact with the road. This results in improved stability, and Accelera X-Grip Snow offers a confident driving on bends and during sudden and unexpected manoeuvres. With the use of innovative components, the compound is resistant to mechanical damage and different types of abrasion that may arise during a typical city drive.

The application of modern structural materials allowed the reduction of the tyre’s weight. As a result, rolling resistance is lower, which leads to reduced fuel consumption. Therefore, Accelera X-Grip Snow is economical not only due to the low price, but also cheap maintenance.

Accelera is an Indonesian brand supplying economy-class tyres. They combine a balanced performance with safe driving, regardless of the weather. The company’s product range includes models intended for passenger cars, SUVs, lorries, light trucks, buses and bicycles. Due to the continuous development and adaptation of products to the customers’ demands, their tyres are popular among drivers worldwide.

Got a set of these for a Renault Grand Scenic just before we had the worst winter in decades. Let's just say the car only got stuck once and that was in about 3 feet of snow, a quick dig around with a shovel and there was enough grip to get me over the pile. Handling and braking on snow/ice/slush is unbelievably better than summer tyres. While traffic was crawling along at 5mph, I was driving around them at almost normal speeds - people must have thought I was mad. Coming to a stop at junctions is no longer a stressful experience, you might get the odd intervention from the ABS and then you simply stop. My 4x4 has better traction for getting up hills however my 2wd Renault with these tyres will still get up the hills, but more importantly will stop and turn much better on snow/ice. My 4x4 will have these tyres on before winter. Read more Collapse

Hi. I must admit that I was a litte worried befor buying these Acceleras. I feared that because of their price the quality wouldn't be good enough and boy was I surprised! After having done about 6,000 miles last winter I can honestly say that their behaviour was superb! And that is both in and outside city. The only drawback of Accelera Snow would be the level of noise. It might be a bit high when traveling at speed but I don't think that it's too bad. Braking on wet surfaces isn't particular good either. I can recommend the Accelera Snow for people who are looking for cheap and decent tyres. Read more Collapse

Great tyre for the winter we've had here in the UK very mild only just had a cold snap so I can't judge the snow handling been great in the cold frosty mornings and on wet roads no issues with grip spot on at all times. Wear doesn't seem to be too bad hasn't lost any tread yet in the 2000 miles with driven with them a highly recommended tyre at a great price I know the more expensive will probably be better but these are more than adequate for any normal road user for winter use. Opinion from outside the UK

I don't drive that much. Mostly in town and some country lanes from time to time. I didn't want to use my summer tyres during Winter so I chose Accelera Snow. A Chinese brand. After 2,500 miles I am still satisfied. Obviously, there are better tyres but for bigger cash. For me and my car though, they are absolutely fine and I have no reasons to complain. Accelera Snow is reasonably priced and what's important I bought them new! If I had to buy them again, I definitely would. Read more Collapse

Considering the price I think I can say that Accelera Snow is a good tyre. I didn't really want to spend too much on my old Fiat I went for budget tyres. I don't regret, especially because I rarely leave the city. No surprises during balancing. The guy who fitted these at first thought that it wobbles a bit to the sides. I hear that it is quite common even among premium brands, so Accelera Snow passes with flying colours. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

The Accelera Snow offers quite a good value for money, considering their cost. The quality is OK and they offer sufficient grip in snow and in low temperatures. They tend to wear off more quickly in higher temperatures and become quite noisy around 90mph. The Accelera is quite soft, so it's no good when it's really warm outside. This is based on the experience gathered during 3-year-long period. Read more Collapse

Good tyres and at a decent price. Accelera Snow totally beats the competition, especially in low temperatures as well as in snow. Designed for snow-covered city streets and it really does it well. Good soft rubber compound, wears-off more quicly when it's warm outside though. I can definitely recommend Accelera Snow to all you guys! Read more Collapse

They needed a few more weights when balancing, but still within norms. It might be hard to believe but I find Accelera Snow better than Michelin, which is four times more expensive! And that is in every comparable aspect. I also have a summet set from Accelera and I also think that they are better than more recognisable brands. Read more Collapse

Accelera Snow is a very decent tyre when you cosider how much you have to pay for it. Good grip and even wear (and not that fast). I bought two sets: one for Winter and one for Summer. The Snow may be a bit noisy at higher speeds but that would be my only and minor complaint really. On the whole: worth recommending. Read more Collapse

    Translation

    Opinion from outside the UK

Tires have extremely short life span. I used to use the tires at least two years. These tires were after a few months on the drive axle totally written off. I use a 4x4 BMW which occupies the rear axle and of course more on this axle me after a few thousand kilometers tires totally gone. Usually checking tires at random once or twice a year. In the case of the tire going down, I discovered only after the defect when one of the tires has come thanks to all-out driving down a layer of rubber ..nemluvím purpose of this was left vzorku..po or monument. These tires definitely consider dangerous. Read more Collapse
