A Singaporean brand of economy class tyres offering tyres for passenger cars (including SUVs), light commercial vehicles, as well as industrial and agricultural vehicles. The Radar brand was created in 2006 by Omni United, a Singapore-based company, and is now ranked 52nd among the largest tyre manufacturers in the world. Radar Tires' sister brands are Timberland and Birla.

Key dates:

2003 – establishment of Omni United, the owner of the Radar brand,
2006 – creation of the Radar Tires brand,
2007 – start of production of Radar tyres,
2008 – debut of Radar tyres in the United States,
2009 – debut of the Radar brand in Europe,
2010 – first Radar SUV tyres,
2013 – Radar tyres debut in Australia.

Interesting facts:

Omni United, owner of Radar Tires, is referred to as the “Ikea of tyres”. This is because it does not have its own factories, and the tyres of its own brands are made to order in the factories of other manufacturers, as part of contractual production.

Radar tyres are manufactured at Omni United's partner plants in China, Indonesia, India and Sri Lanka.

Radar Tires is the only tyre brand in the world to actively support the battle against breast cancer in women. Every year, it donates approximately $250,000 from the sale of its tyres to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

    Radar Dimax R8+

I have a BMW touring 3 series F31 m sport , and as owners know with these rear wheel drive cars we need to have confidence in them especially for wet weather conditions. Previously I have bought big name tyres costing over £200 each. I now needed 4 new tyres and to think that I had to shell out over £800, I decided to maybe research and try lower costing tyres with good ratings ,especially wet weather conditions for the reasons mentioned above . Hence , I made the purchase on the Radar Dimax R8+. I immediately knew I had made the right choice , they felt like they gripped the road excellently , and after driving in wet conditions I can confirm the same. And they are no louder to previous See more > branded tyres . All this at half the cost , I can say that I will definitely be buying this tyre next time I’m due . First time I have used oponeo also , and I found them cheaper than other websites too and delivered them as described.

    Radar Dimax Classic

Great ‘white wall’ at a great price, the strip is not too wide, which adds elegance. I have these tyres on my '68 Fiat 125A. The tyres grip the road well and are perfectly adequate for calm, ‘classic’ driving. They look very nice, and the modern tread pattern is not obtrusive. I recommend them to all youngtimer enthusiasts. See more >
