The tyres in size 285/35 R19 are designed for cars of a sports character. The number in the first position is the exact tyre's tread width (expressed in millimetres). Number 35 is concerned with the tyre's profile height (which amounts 35% out of 285 millimetres of the tyre's tread width). The "R" in the size means that the tyre uses in its built the radial construction. Number 19 is the exact diameter of the wheel's rim (in inches) which can be installed with the tyre in size 285/35 R19.
