    Opinion from outside the UK

Tyres: Vredestein Quatrac 3 <> Goodyear Vector 4Seasons I have driven around 6,000 km on Vredestein Quatrac 3 tyres in a Peugeot 206 front drive and around 60,000 km on Goodyear Vector 4Seasons. My comments on the Vredestein Quatrac 3 compared with the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons - Vredestein tyre compound: softer, more flexible - the tyre has the symptom of riding on "jelly beans" (a little too flexible); this causes instability on acceleration and at speeds above 80 km/h (temperatures above 25 degrees Celsius), the car drifts to the left or right (it drives to the side, which decreases safety); however on potholes, the damping of bumps is slightly better than GoodYear's because of the higher elasticity; - the tyre parameters describe lower rolling noise (approx. 68dB) compared to GoodYear (71 dB): my experience shows that the Vredestein makes more noise due to the cross sipes - there is an irritating rattle (the tyres act a bit like a resonance box e.g. in a guitar - you can hear the noise amplification through the walls of the tyre filled with air / nitrogen); it is a bit like driving a tractor - in GoodYear this was not the case (V shaped tread) - rolling resistance of the Vredestein Quatrac 3 is noticeably higher compared with the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons (the car drives slower - for top speed, it accelerates slower); I would put the petrol consumption at about 0.5 litres/100 km) - the water evacuation from under the wheels on the Vredestein Quatrac 3 is worse (less efficient / less effective) than on the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons. Many users rate these tyres as slightly better than GoodYear, but my experience shows that the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons is the better tyre (particularly in terms of ride comfort). Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

Goodyear Vector 4Seasons - I've used them for about 60,000 km in summer (above 32°C) and winter (cold, snow and ice) - they perform very well; compared to Pirelli (summer) and Barum (winter) they give a great improvement in ride quality and comfort; very soft on bumps - great damping on uneven surfaces, very good rolling comfort - the car drives like a limousine; I didn't suspect that the quality of the tyre was so important; Rolling noise - noticeably less than previous tyres - these Goodyears are quiet; you can hear the rolling noise - not the noise of the cross sipes - the V shaped tread is angled which makes it quiet; the disadvantage of the V shaped tread is poor drift during hard turns at high speed; the tyres grip the road very well - hard braking - the car stops almost 'on the spot'. (I had to do emergency braking 3 times). I recommend this excellent product. I will now try to put Vredestein Quatrac 3 tyres on the front wheels (drive) as they have the same labels: "E" and "C" (braking) and a similar volume of 68/69 dB - but a different tread shape - on the front axle they shouldn't bear down on sharp turns. Practice - will show what these tyres are worth. I'll leave the Goodyear Vectors on the rear axle. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I chose these tyres because of my reluctance to frequent visits to the tyre specialist, and also because of the way I use my car - low mileage in the winter season (up to 3000 km) done mainly in the city. I usually drive further in the summer. The tyres are a decent alternative to seasonal tyres, however - there's no denying - they don't blow my mind. In the dry I have no complaints, although on hot asphalt they squeal a little in corners. On snow it's OK - not much better than on summer tyres, but not as good as on Debica Frigo. I gave the wet rating a 3, but not for driving in strictly wet conditions or on puddles - which these tyres can handle normally - but for driving on damp asphalt. It's simply a drama - several times I've been skiing with the ABS going crazy! Interestingly, when it rains well and the asphalt is very wet, I don't have this problem. So driving on wet asphalt is the biggest weakness of these tyres. When it comes to things like handling confidence, ease of balancing, quietness and ride comfort, it's great. You can tell this is a premium tyre. At 150 km/h, the tyres ride like a string without any discomfort whatsoever. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I would definitely recommend it - I will not go back to changing tyres twice a year, queues etc. I bought them 18 months ago, mainly because I had both summer and winter tyres to change. I would have had to buy two sets in a short space of time. In addition, the awkward storage of unused tyres in a block of flats, the uncertainty of when to change tyres (+12 degrees in November and freezing temperatures in October, etc.), the queues, etc. I was also encouraged by tests in Autoświat and Motor - in both they had the highest ratings. I drive half and half, 50% in the city, commuting to work, the other half long distances once or twice a month. No snow in the city, more often snow was on estate streets where they don't salt - but there was never a problem with driving out, parking, even in mounding snow. They drive great in the wet. In the dry there is probably a difference with summer tyres - but they are still reasonably quiet. I recommend. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside the UK

I am writing this opinion only because of the low popularity of all-season tyres or even ridicule of such tyres in our country. I bought them only because I think that if you drive only in the city, where it is more dry than snow, it is worth to have all-seasons, not only winter tires. Meanwhile, the Vectory 4seasons are better than good. They behave like winter tyres in winter and like summer tyres on dry roads. It's difficult for me to judge abrasion, as I've only recently put them on for the winter So far I'm very satisfied with these tyres. They are quite quiet, perform very well in the wet, snow, slush and dry. On snow/ice or slush they "ride" a bit, but probably not more than traditional winter tyres. The price is not small, but probably worth it. I'm going to change them anyway, without rushing to change to summer tyres in the spring, because it's a shame to wear them out in the dry in the summer if you have summer tyres. Read more Collapse

Technology description: If you’re looking for an all-season tyre that will prove itself in any weather conditions, the the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons is for you. It’s a modern premium model adapted for summer and winter conditions.

The tyre features a range of technologies that allow its design to adapt to the different seasons. With this, the tread of Vector 4Seasons adheres to the road with maximum coverage, no matter the weather.

The directional pattern used in the tyre performs perfectly on wet surfaces. The wide V-shaped grooves efficiently drain water, slush and snow, ensuring fast drying of the tread, and thus a better grip. As a result of the even distribution of pressures acting against the tyre surface, the tread wears out slowly and uniformly on each side. This allows you to fully use its performance regardless of the mileage and time.

The tyre was developed using a compound which adapts to prevailing temperatures. Thanks to this, your car is driven in a stable way no matter the weather. The car won't lose its grip even during sudden manoeuvres or cornering. Braking distance has also been reduced, due to the use of the appropriate components which means that the tyre “bites” into the surface and provides a good grip. A very important role in the reduction of braking distance is also played by the wide central rib, equipped with a large number of sipes. These, in particular, facilitate driving on wet surfaces, making you feel confident behind the wheel no matter the weather.
