Compared with the previously used tires Ultragripy 8 give a very good comfort. The conditions in which they are used is a city and suburban roads often snow removal, for posypywaniu sand rather not have to dream, even though the car is carried out stably.

Working for one of the UKs emergency services I have to get to work in all weathers, when these tyres cost no more than the same brand summer tyre I thought I would give them ago. My car does not have traction control ETC, it only has ABS so ideal for testing tyres with. Not done many miles in the snow except for boxing day 2014 up the A50 Markfield hill. I drove up the hill in lane 2 whilst everyone else slipped and slithered in lane 1, the car was stable and secure. In the wet the perform very well showing no sign of aquaplaning at all even when travelling at speed. In the frosty mornings there is no slipping at junctions or under braking. These tyres have a softer compound and so in the heat of summer they do feel a bit soft around the corners and braking is not so good as a summer tyre. I expected them to wear quicker than a summer tyre but I still have 6mm tread left after driving 12000 miles. perhaps nosier than the summer tyres but the radio still works. I have not assessed appearance as they are round and black, like all the other brands. If I have to make a choice I would rather drive these tyres in the summer than summer tyres in the winter. Bought a set for the wife and I wont now drive summer tyres in the winter again. Excellent tyres.

Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 are very good tyres. I made just about 250 miles on them mainly in the city and they behave perfectly. I did not notice any faults for now. They did not lose the grip even once and I was in very different places and there was a huge frost. The ABS did not turn even once, but there was no need because I am a calm driver and I feel very comfortable and safe wile driving on Goodyear Ultra Grip 8. I cannot say anything about the attriction because I made quite a shor mileage. Tyres are silent, the sound is unnoticeable. To sum up I, Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 did not disappoint me on big snow, slippy surface. I recommend them. It is better to pay more and have good quality tyres.

I bought set of four Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 to my Avensis Verso 2003 in the size of 205/65R15. I was forced to buy them after I saw very positive reviews and test. After one season I have to say that I am not fully satisfied. Advantages of Ultra Grip 8 : noise level is very low (but on dry road the sound is noticeable). In the period of October-March I drove about 3000 miles. The attriction is very low. Disadvantages: I felt like swimming when cornering. On wet road surface I did not feel myself safe. In December the tarmac was iced but the road was black and I almost had a crash. To conclude I am satisfied with Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 but I dont know if I want to buy them for next season.

I used many types of winter tyres in my cars . I was very pleased with Dunlops (winter, summer) and with Falkens (winter). This season I decided to buy Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 and test them how much worth they are.I have to addmit that they did not disappoint me at all. I drove on them about 10000 miles mainly on the route UK- Italy. Even snowy Alps did not suprised Ultra Grips 8. These tyres are very durable and they behave very stadly. I did not any wobbling of my steering wheel in the speeds of 20MPH- 120MPH. No serious rolling noise noticed. For now I think that only 1mm of the tread was used. I am very happy that I bought Goodyear Ultra Grip 8. Worth buying!
Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 165/65 R14 79 T
A premium winter tyre. It was produced for drivers who look for the best performance in tough winter conditions. Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 is the successor of Goodyear Ultra Grip 7 +, the award tests winner by an independent German organization ADAC, and the magazine "Autobild", "Auto Motor und Sport" and British "Auto Express". Engineers were able to enhance performance of the tyre, compared to the previous model Ultra Grip 7 +: - reduced stopping distances on wet roads by 4% (on the asphalt with a low coefficient of friction), - increased resistance to aquaplaning on the winding, wet roads, by 16%, - shortened braking distance on snow by 3% and increased traction on snowy roads by 5%.
Features of Goodyear Ultra Grip 8: efficient braking. An aggressive, directional tread pattern with BIS (Block Interlocked System) 3D system on the entire surface ensures short braking distances. Very good adhesion on various types of surfaces and low wear Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 tyre is made of the rubber mixture with silica and special polymers, which ensures good traction on variable surface types (snow, ice, mud, dry road) and even, slow wear of the tread. Excellent performance at low temperatures. In the production of rubber for Goodyear Ultra Grip 8, the manufacturer used elastic rubber, which retains its properties under extreme conditions.
Fuel economy and low CO2 emissions. Advanced construction of Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 offers low rolling resistance. Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company is one of the world's largest tyre manufacturers. It was founded in 1898, and in 1926 it became the largest producer of rubber. Goodyear's offer also includes other chemical and rubber products. The company conducts commercial activities worldwide.
Fuel efficiency is rated from A to G on a colour-coded scale. The highest fuel efficiency rating is A (green; the lowest rolling resistance), while the lowest fuel efficiency rating is G (red; the highest rolling resistance). Rolling resistance influences fuel consumption and vehicle emissions; the lower the resistance, the lower the fuel consumption and exhaust fume emissions.
Wet grip is the tyre's ability to adhere to the road surface in wet conditions. The EU rating focuses only on the wet braking performance of the tyre. Wet grip is rated from A to G, where A represents the best braking performance and G represents the worst. It is one of the most crucial safety parameters.
Tyres contribute to the amount of noise a vehicle generates. Choosing a tyre with a good noise rating will lower the impact of your driving on the surrounding environment.
