The tyre is really recommendable - so far the best tyre I have ridden. I compare it to Continetal or Michelin Energy Saver and I definitely choose GoodYear. Recently I was riding on Bridgestone Turanza - comparing to GoodYear it is the latter that wins. The Turanza was much harder and more slippery in the wet. GoodYear provides excellent grip on dry, wet, straight and cornering (very good grip even at high speeds). In terms of ride comfort, I would definitely recommend it - in handling the tyre seems very pleasant (noticeable on the steering wheel and suspension action), while providing very confident handling. In terms of braking it also performs very well - both in the wet and in the dry - it gives a feeling of safety. I can't comment on the abrasion, as I've only covered about 6000km (mainly city driving, but about 2k on the road) - so far the tyre looks like new. The appearance of the tyre and the noise level are also very positive. I also have the impression that the car smokes a little less on these tyres (but this may be related to the fact that they are 10mm higher than their predecessors). In conclusion, I can definitely recommend the tyres - as I said at the beginning, they are the best I have driven on so far. Considering the quality to price ratio, there is not even a second thought - I RECOMMEND!

Hello At the beginning, I will emphasize that I drive very dynamically and always at the third change of pads I also change brake discs. I change tyres every 50000-60000km, the car is obviously tuned. And now about the tyres, the last purchase was a bull's eye, with a full tank because I always refuel like this, rolling resistance is so low that on average I drive 100-140 km on a tank more. Hold on dry pavement super best tyres I have had so far, noise is also the quietest, on wet discharge of water is very good, hold on the road not really checked (at 140 they hold pretty well). As far as wear rate is concerned, I can't comment because 15000 km is not enough. Overall, the tyres surprised me very positively. And it is very important that all the tyres I buy are made in Germany and France, from my experience I know that production in Poland or Romania is a completely different story. Greetings. I wish you a great driving experience.

The first set of tyres on the car were Continentals, which performed quite well. The next set of tyres were the Goodyears Excellence, which turned out to be better than the Continentals, with less noise and better road-holding. I have now covered about 11,000 km with the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres and I have not been disappointed! They are even better than the Excellence model, they travel safely in all speed ranges, do not make a lot of noise and are very effective in emergency braking. Excellent water evacuation and car feel in the wet, both on local and national roads as well as on motorways.) On dry roads, too, there is nothing to complain about as the tyres meet all the requirements for premium tyres. It is worth investing in them as they guarantee that you will fully enjoy every journey you make.

I bought the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres at the beginning of April and have driven around 3,000 km on them. I have to say that the driving comfort is very good, mainly because the tyres are very quiet (both in town and on the highway). Safety is another plus, as the tyres are excellent for cornering, even in the wet. As regards braking, I have no reservations either - at higher speeds the tyres retain their characteristics. Regarding fuel consumption, it's difficult for me to say anything because there are too many factors involved... I realise that this is too short a time to give an opinion on the use of the tyres, but for now, I am very satisfied with the result of the purchase. I will be able to write more in some time. Anyway I can highly recommend the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres.

Before buying, I also considered other tyres, both cheaper and more expensive. Today I know that I made the right choice. The tyre grips the road very well, both dry and wet, and dynamic cornering in no way affects the comfort of the journey. I was positively surprised by the noise level - up to 120 km/h the tyres are inaudible, at 140/150 km/h the noise is acceptable - compared to winter tyres, it is like half the scale... Fuel consumption on these tyres is also admirable, especially when the car is heavily packed and I am driving on a long route - then the low rolling resistance is most noticeable. If you "rock" the car, it doesn't need much fuel to maintain a relatively constant speed... If you drive a lot - do not skimp on good tyres. Saving may come back to haunt you one day...

Product description

Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance 195/65 R15 91 V

Technical description: The Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance is part of the Goodyear Efficientgrip range, a range that has proved popular with drivers.

The Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance has been given an "A" rating for grip on wet roads. Compared with other tyres, the model offers 2 metres (8%) shorter braking distances on wet roads and 3% shorter braking distances on dry surfaces. It also guarantees 18% lower fuel consumption.

Short braking distances. Thanks to its special ActiveBraking technology, the tyre is noted for its larger contact area with the ground, resulting in much shorter braking distances compared with tyres from rival brands. Specifically, the tyre offers 8% (2 metres) shorter braking distances on wet roads and 3% shorter braking distances on dry roads.

Grip on wet roads. The asymmetric tread pattern with wide longitudinal grooves and transverse grooves ensures optimal performance on wet surfaces. High specifications in this category are confirmed by the labels on most tyre sizes.

Tyre noise is also minimised. Tests carried out for labelling purposes found that the tyre's results were among the best out of all tyres with the same dimensions as the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance.

Savings. Excellent driveability does not prevent the tyre from also being cost effective. This is all thanks to its WearControl technology, which ensures an effective distribution of the individual tread elements, as well as excellent performance on wet surfaces and reduced rolling resistance.

In order to make the tyre more cost-effective, the manufacturer opted for a special rubber compound which, compared with other materials, uses less energy, which in turn reduces the car's fuel consumption. This technology makes the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance the ideal choice for drivers looking for high performance specifications, driver comfort and steering precision

In tests carried out by ADAC in 2015, Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance came in 2nd place for size 185/60 R14 and 205/55 R16 tyres.

Label

The Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyre in size 195/65 R15 91 V, according to the manufacturer's information, has the following drivability qualities:

  • B
  • A
  • 69 dB
B A 69 dB

Fuel efficiency (rolling distance)

Fuel efficiency is rated from A to G on a colour-coded scale. The highest fuel efficiency rating is A (green; the lowest rolling resistance), while the lowest fuel efficiency rating is G (red; the highest rolling resistance). Rolling resistance influences fuel consumption and vehicle emissions; the lower the resistance, the lower the fuel consumption and exhaust fume emissions.

Wet grip

Wet grip is the tyre's ability to adhere to the road surface in wet conditions. The EU rating focuses only on the wet braking performance of the tyre. Wet grip is rated from A to G, where A represents the best braking performance and G represents the worst. It is one of the most crucial safety parameters.

Noise

Tyres contribute to the amount of noise a vehicle generates. Choosing a tyre with a good noise rating will lower the impact of your driving on the surrounding environment.
