Scale of scores: Highest lowest

The tyre has achieved the highest "A" rating for grip on wet roads. The Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance meets the expectations of even the most demanding drivers. As you would expect from a summer tyre, the model performs exceptionally well in variable weather conditions. Thanks to its asymmetric tread pattern, the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance ensures good water dispersal and excellent grip, even on very wet roads.

Compared with other tyres, the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance guarantees 2 metre (8%) shorter braking distances on wet roads and 3% shorter braking distances on dry roads. The model uses WearControl technology to ensure a balance between grip and low rolling resistance. This extends the tyre's lifetime, which means that the driver can enjoy its excellent performance specifications for its entire service life. The tyre's attributes also include short braking distances, which means that drivers of cars fitted with Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres can feel really safe.

Its Fuel Saving technology helps limit energy losses, reducing this by around 18% compared with other premium tyres. External noise is another area where the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance outshines the competition. Thanks to its unique tread design and the use of a special compound in its production, the engineers behind this model have managed to significantly reduce tyre noise. The model is ideal for drivers looking for a tyre that provides not only safety and driver comfort, but also optimal performance across a range of surfaces in variable, often difficult weather conditions.

In tests carried out by ADAC in 2015, Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance came in 2nd place for size 185/60 R14 and 205/55 R16 tyres.

Goodyear is one of the largest tyre manufacturers in the world. In terms of sales, it is the second largest in Europe and the fourth largest worldwide. As well as tyres for passenger cars, the company also produces aircraft tyres, tyres for industrial machinery, rubber hoses and soles for shoes. Goodyear owns brands including: Dębica, Dunlop, Fulda and Sava. The company has its headquarters in Akron, Ohio, USA. The group's factories currently employ around 90,000 people.

    Opinion from outside the UK

After 12,000 km I can now give an objective opinion on the Goodyear Efficengrip Performance. In my opinion, the biggest advantage is the wet-weather handling. Every puddle and even larger bodies of water are no obstacle for these tyres. Excellent wet grip as well as excellent braking and cornering performance. When it comes to wet surfaces, the tyre is superb. The driving experience has definitely improved. It absorbs small bumps completely and handles larger ones very well. It is certainly more pleasant to drive over bumps without vibrations. Admittedly, this is also due to the fact that the tyre is softer, but I have not noticed too much abrasion. I will be able to describe this after I have driven even more km. As for the fuel consumption, I honestly did not notice any difference. It seems to me that I have not gained in fuel consumption, but probably not lost. In general, the car burns less in summer than in winter and that is where I can see the difference. The only thing I can genuinely complain about with this tyre is the noise. As far as I am concerned, the A class label is definitely overstated. OK, it is a very quiet tyre, but in my opinion up to 100 km. From 100 km upwards, it starts to make noise. When driving a bit faster on the motorway, it is better to keep the windows closed because the noise is not pleasant. And even inside with the windows closed, the noise is very loud. The tyre also has problems with noise. As for the appearance, it gives the car a character. They look great. Generally speaking, although I insist that it is not as quiet as advertised, I can recommend it without any doubt. Read more Collapse

Hello, I put on these tyres because they were lying in the garage covered in dust, it's a fact that the sides are cracked etc so I can't say that they will behave in the same way as new tyres, but judging by one opinion here I don't think there will be much difference. The thing is that the car floats on them. They are so soft that when you take aggressive turns as I like to do, the tyre slips to the side so you feel like you are driving on the rim and not the tyre. I do not recommend this tyre in size 195/50-15 v-index for people with a sporty driving style simply a drama. Some time ago i had the opportunity to drive a barum bravuris 1 on a similar rover 25 compact. i have goodyear on my ibiza and barum simply beats goodyear in terms of tyre performance. it doesn't skid at all in a corner compared to goodyear, when tested at max speed at the top of a racelogic curve, goodyear went sideways at 62 km/h, barum only did 60 km/h and the tyre started to veer slightly outwards (understeer) but stability is 5 classes better and barum is a budget tyre whereas goodyear is premium. I definitely do not recommend these tyres unless you are a pensioner for commuting to church etc. because it must be said that when the temperature is more than 15 degrees they stick really well if it were not for the fact that it bends, which is acceptable for me I would rate this tyre very highly. The Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance was a hit in my case! I was looking for quiet tyres which are both economical and safe. The Goodyear is the right compromise for my needs. The tyres are quiet, the consumption is not higher than with my previous tyres (Michelin - I don't remember the model, but some premium one), I would say even a little bit lower. They grip the road very nicely at faster speeds in corners - no discomfort, firm grip on the road, no slipping. In the wet it's good but not perfect - you can feel some slight slippage when cornering on a wet road (at higher speeds), I don't feel 100% confident at high speed but it's not a tragedy (I have Dunlop SP Sport Maxx St on my other car and it's much better in the wet in my opinion). On normal wet driving it is ok, braking is similar, on puddles and wet ruts they channel the water nicely. I have driven about 15 000 km on them - no problems, no punctures, even wear, no cracks or bulges visible. The tyre looks great on the 17" rim, but the appearance of the tyre is a secondary issue in my case. I think the tyre is good for people who need a quiet and economical tyre, and have a moderate driving style. Wet craziness is not the domain of these tyres, but at normal speeds the tyre will not fail in any conditions. I would choose them again without a doubt for a family car. Read more Collapse

The tyre is really recommendable - so far the best tyre I have ridden. I compare it to Continetal or Michelin Energy Saver and I definitely choose GoodYear. Recently I was riding on Bridgestone Turanza - comparing to GoodYear it is the latter that wins. The Turanza was much harder and more slippery in the wet. GoodYear provides excellent grip on dry, wet, straight and cornering (very good grip even at high speeds). In terms of ride comfort, I would definitely recommend it - in handling the tyre seems very pleasant (noticeable on the steering wheel and suspension action), while providing very confident handling. In terms of braking it also performs very well - both in the wet and in the dry - it gives a feeling of safety. I can't comment on the abrasion, as I've only covered about 6000km (mainly city driving, but about 2k on the road) - so far the tyre looks like new. The appearance of the tyre and the noise level are also very positive. I also have the impression that the car smokes a little less on these tyres (but this may be related to the fact that they are 10mm higher than their predecessors). In conclusion, I can definitely recommend the tyres - as I said at the beginning, they are the best I have driven on so far. Considering the quality to price ratio, there is not even a second thought - I RECOMMEND! Read more Collapse

After having driven several thousand kilometers on various brand tyres, I became interested in the GY Efficient Grip Performance. The price seemed a bit too high, but over time it became clear that the tyres are well worth the money. The tyre is quiet and comfortable and rides like a winter tyre in summer, very soft, but at the same time the steering is firm and the tyre grips the road well. The tyre is not easy on a heavy car like the Super, but it performs excellently. Whether accelerating, braking suddenly or changing direction, it holds the car firmly in place at all times. You can see that the engineers have spent some time and calculated a tyre that not only rolls gently, but also gives confident handling. The most important thing, however, is the fuel consumption, and this has dropped by 0.5l/100 km on the road, which I rate as a sensational result. The tyre itself is very quiet and comfortable to drive, which is exactly the tyre I was looking for. I do not know how the tyre will last, but so far I have driven 17k km on it and I do not see any signs of uneven wear. Let's hope for the best :) I can recommend the tyre. My fiancée also rides them. I recommended them to her because I wanted her to drive on tyres that were safe and economical. She is just as happy as I am. Read more Collapse

Previously, I had a not-so-optimistic view on Gooyear tyres. However, in spring 2013 I had to buy new tyres (size 205/55R16). By reading tests and reviews (only a few back then), I decided to take a risk and buy Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres. Out of two leading brands, Goodyear and Dunlop, I decided to get Goodyear. As for now, I have driven 6500 miles. The grip on any surface type (wet or dry) is very good. Braking is superb, handling is very confident and quite fast, without any delays (but I can feel it’s not as fast as it was on my previous Dunlop SP Sport 01 tyres). The driving comfort on Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance is similar to winter tyres (I use Uniroyal MS 66), so I find it higher than on my previous summer Dunlops. Noise level is relatively low. When it comes to wear, my front tyres wore down by 0,7 mm and rear by only 0,4 mm (I checked them with tread meter after purchase and they were at perfect 8,0 mm). So I find it quite good. My driving style is moderate. Tread pattern is nice, it’s not revolutionary but it’s fine. Sidewall also looks good. Overall, I find Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance worth buying. I personally recommend them despite my point of view about the company, as for now they are good and I am satisfied with the purchase. Read more Collapse

Unfortunately, I’ve been experiencing problems with Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance from the very start. First of all, they are difficult to balance. I’ve never seen so many weights on a wheel before. Secondly, they have been re-balanced in a few different fitting stations and still, there are vibrations at ca. 70 MPH. I have new wheels, and I have checked them at the station – everything’s fine with them. Generally Goodyear seems to ignore the customers and didn’t ground my complaint. I didn’t get any printouts from measurement devices, only a subjective opinion of a technician based on a road test. I decided to send them for an independent inspection. The tyre can be seen “jumping” clearly on a balancing machine. I definitely not recommend to get Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres, and if you have already bought them, send them for a complaint inspection as soon as you have any doubts about what happens to them. When it comes to the procedure itself, Oponeo did their best in a professional way and I’d like to thank them for it. As I mentioned – I don’t recommend Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance. This was my third set of Goodyear tyres and made me stay away from them for a long time. Read more Collapse

Normally, after changing from winter to summer tyres, I experienced a great deal of discomfort in terms of rolling noise. When using winter tires it was quiet in the car, but I could hear the summer tires. This year I replaced the winter tyres with a new set of Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance summer tyres and... I couldn't tell the difference in the noise when driving compared to the winter tires! This was the first confirmation that I had made the right choice! As expected (having done a bit of reading before purchase) the tyres have excellent dry and wet grip. There were no surprises here. The biggest surprise for me was the drop in average petrol consumption/100km. In previous "summer" seasons (on old tyres), with air conditioning on, in a mixed cycle (70% city/30% road), on one tank (42l), the range was about 550km until the reserve light came on - now I do 600-620km! After driving about 1600km, I can't yet tell the level of tread wear (as you can't see anything), but I can say that this was money well spent (not much) on very good rubber. Read more Collapse

I have been riding these tyres for 5 months and they have covered a total of over 7,000 kilometres. The routes are varied: a bit of big city, but mostly a few hundred kilometre trips. The tyre is very nice for me. Soft sides make it possible to rock the car sideways by hand when standing still, which at first glance would seem to be a disadvantage, but thanks to this you can feel that the tyre grips the road firmly even during very sharp turns. It has good water drainage, so you don't feel worried when driving on wet roads. The only downside for me is how it looks after a few drives. The tyre looks like it has a bit of wear, with discolouration on the working surface border with the sidewall. As it is quite soft, you might be worried about rapid wear. It is only when you look closely that you can see that the tyre is not yet worn out after the specified distance. Overall, I am satisfied with the tyre, and as for the current state of affairs, I would recommend buying it. We will see after a full season and will come back to comment. Read more Collapse

Gooyear Efficientgrip Performance are great tyres! They have low rolling resistance, due to which my car consumes 0,5 l fuel less and accelerates a bit faster. I was positively surprised by that fact and I can confirm it with a clear conscience. Previously, I used Pirelli tyres - they were great, but after doing ca. 20 thousand miles, their quality became very poor. Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance have good driving properties, which make the car grip the road well in the corners on both dry and wet. The tread wear is also very low. The tyre is soft, but the driver can feel it is them who's in control of the vehicle. Their drawback is lack of rim protector. They look normal, without any strange additions. They are also very quiet, so you can freely talk at higher speeds without any problems. Generally, I rate Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance very well at this moment, however I will be able to write more next year, after ca. 30 thousand miles. Read more Collapse

Hello At the beginning, I will emphasize that I drive very dynamically and always at the third change of pads I also change brake discs. I change tyres every 50000-60000km, the car is obviously tuned. And now about the tyres, the last purchase was a bull's eye, with a full tank because I always refuel like this, rolling resistance is so low that on average I drive 100-140 km on a tank more. Hold on dry pavement super best tyres I have had so far, noise is also the quietest, on wet discharge of water is very good, hold on the road not really checked (at 140 they hold pretty well). As far as wear rate is concerned, I can't comment because 15000 km is not enough. Overall, the tyres surprised me very positively. And it is very important that all the tyres I buy are made in Germany and France, from my experience I know that production in Poland or Romania is a completely different story. Greetings. I wish you a great driving experience. Read more Collapse

I had been driving on my original Bridgestone tyres for a few years, but decided to purchase Goodyear tyres because of their good performance (B,A, 68) for a lot less money than competitor tyres. I was incredibly surprised. I immediately found them to be incredibly quiet. My previous tyres were also quiet, but the Goodyear really surprised me. Also, the ride in corners - also a pleasant surprise - the car feels like it is glued to the road. The immediate impression is that the car is much safer. On bumps, of course, the tyres also absorb vibrations well. The only thing I don't know is how long these tyres will last. I have had them on for a few weeks now, I haven't noticed any signs of wear, but I wonder if, in this case, such excellent properties of the tyres have a downside, or maybe the principle "something for something" does not apply to them and they will both perform excellently and last for a few seasons. The Citroen c5 "does not get along" with all tyres. Here is an example: previously I had Dunlop Sp Sport Blueredponse tyres. Nice tyres, quiet, but the suspension reacted in quite unexpected ways. Inflating the tyres with nitrogen eliminated the problem. I damaged the tyres and that was the excuse for replacing them. I bought GoodYear. No problems with strange suspension responses. Tyres absorb minor bumps well. Much quicker (my expression) to react to steering movements. They behave confidently in the wet. They seem even better when driven a little more aggressively. They respond without objection to slightly harsher handling, whether on dry or wet surfaces. The average fuel consumption has dropped a little, even though I drive a little more aggressively on these tyres than on the previous ones. Tyre wear - I can't say. The tyres have covered about 10,000 km. Read more Collapse

The car is used mainly for driving outside the city and there is not much city driving; a requirement at the time of purchase was to meet the expectations of safety (driving with a child in a child seat); other requirements were approximate, often based on opinions - about the durability, reliability, noise or economy of the tyre, all the reviews were positive and the tyre was also tested among friends / family (not always in this size but that's another issue) and the budget - it was supposed to be reasonable as I do not expect to drive on the tyres for 10 years but 2-3 seasons (at 20-30k+ per season it is still quite a lot); so far - I am not disappointed, expectations and impressions are positive, I do not know and cannot yet assess the durability but it is not a tragedy ;) therefore I recommend it because it is a reasonable choice! The first set of tyres on the car were Continentals, which performed quite well. The next set of tyres were the Goodyears Excellence, which turned out to be better than the Continentals, with less noise and better road-holding. I have now covered about 11,000 km with the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres and I have not been disappointed! They are even better than the Excellence model, they travel safely in all speed ranges, do not make a lot of noise and are very effective in emergency braking. Excellent water evacuation and car feel in the wet, both on local and national roads as well as on motorways.) On dry roads, too, there is nothing to complain about as the tyres meet all the requirements for premium tyres. It is worth investing in them as they guarantee that you will fully enjoy every journey you make. Read more Collapse

Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance is a good tyre which grips the road very well. I personally rank the tyres according to their grip on wet surface, and Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance grips very, very well. On dry pavement the only tyres which have a problem are tyres with hard rubber compound (but due to that they are long-lasting) and old tyres. I chose these tyres with regards to safety of myself, my passengers and my car. And I wasn't let down. It's better to pay these 20 pounds per tyre more, but thanks to that you don't think if your car will swerve off the track on wet surface in the corner. The only drawback I see in Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance is too shallow side tread and I think that after the tread wears down significantly, the central grooves will be still deep and side ones won't even exist. I bought the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres at the beginning of April and have driven around 3,000 km on them. I have to say that the driving comfort is very good, mainly because the tyres are very quiet (both in town and on the highway). Safety is another plus, as the tyres are excellent for cornering, even in the wet. As regards braking, I have no reservations either - at higher speeds the tyres retain their characteristics. Regarding fuel consumption, it's difficult for me to say anything because there are too many factors involved... I realise that this is too short a time to give an opinion on the use of the tyres, but for now, I am very satisfied with the result of the purchase. I will be able to write more in some time. Anyway I can highly recommend the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres. Read more Collapse

At the beginning of April, I have fitted Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance in place of my winter Fulda tyres. The size is 215/55R16 93 H. I am very disappointed in these tyres, especially when it comes to driving comfort. The car behaves in the smallest ruts like the tyre was punctured and swerves nervously. When it comes to noise level, I think they are rather loud. It may result from the fact that mornings in April are still rather cold. Sometimes I have an impression like I had wooden wheels. I also feel that my braking distance has prolonged. The greatest advantage of Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance is driving in the rain - the car handles very safely. At the moment, I have mixed feelings about Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance, but maybe I'll change my opinion when hugher temeratures come. Read more Collapse

Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance are great tyres, but not for use in a big city. They are very soft (sidewalls), you have to watch out when parking near a high curb. It gives an impression of under-inflation despite the correct air pressure. When the car stands unevenly, I have an impression of a flat tyre. They are also sensitive to air pressure. My previous Dunlop tyres were a lot better. However, despite the fact they are a bit louder, due to low rololing resistance of Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance my car consumes 0,2 l of fuel less on route, and I drive accross the country at least 5 times a year. The average consumption of my Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDI was ca. 3,6 l and now it's 3,4 l with three people (two kids) and full load on board. In the city it's 0,5 l less - from 4,5 l to 4 liters. Before buying, I also considered other tyres, both cheaper and more expensive. Today I know that I made the right choice. The tyre grips the road very well, both dry and wet, and dynamic cornering in no way affects the comfort of the journey. I was positively surprised by the noise level - up to 120 km/h the tyres are inaudible, at 140/150 km/h the noise is acceptable - compared to winter tyres, it is like half the scale... Fuel consumption on these tyres is also admirable, especially when the car is heavily packed and I am driving on a long route - then the low rolling resistance is most noticeable. If you "rock" the car, it doesn't need much fuel to maintain a relatively constant speed... If you drive a lot - do not skimp on good tyres. Saving may come back to haunt you one day... I am going now into the seventh year of using Goodyear Efficient Grip with the two first sets installed on a Peugeot 308 and the most recent one on a Mazda 6 Sport. Naturally, my driving style changed dramatically with the Mazda as I enjoy the brilliant handling and the significant power of the car. The Goodyears still perform extremely well and offer a safe, smooth and dynamic ride in every situation. Cornering at high speed leaves the car safe on the ground and transmits the feeling of total control, even in wet conditions. The performance of the tyres in dry conditions is outstanding, and I was able to notice a decrease in fuel consumption of up to 9 mpg. Consequently, I have no intention to change my brand in the future and shall stick to my favourite and trusted tyres. Read more Collapse

I bought these tyres last year for a holiday where reliable tyres are an essential part of the car. In my opinion, they passed their test with a top score. Very good road grip when driving faster gives me a feeling of great safety. In addition, the COMFORT in the form of noise dampening has made a strong impression on me, despite the fact that I drive a 20-year-old car. There is nothing to complain about in terms of looks. The picture shows the current appearance of my tyres after one season of use. For city and small town driving, where sometimes the roads are awful, the tyres are in very good condition. All in all, if I were to buy summer tyres for the second time, I would not hesitate to buy the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance :) Translated with DeepL.com (free version) Read more Collapse

These were great tyres for the short time I had them. Car felt a lot better to handle, was great with minor bumps in the road. Felt at ease driving in rubbish weather. Unfortunately a group of devil children decided to throw a massive boulder onto the road and my car took the boulder out, this resulted in the tyres going to their place of rest. However the tyre handled a massive impact which did not blow out the tyre (surpisingly) so it proves these tyres can take a beating. Unfortunately the boulder slashed the tyre wall. Managed to drive car home before changing to my space saver. Would highly recommend these tyres. Unfortunately my local garage didn't have these in stock so had to pay through the nose for different tyres. Will be purchasing again in the future though. Read more Collapse

I was choosing tyres to suit my car and my driving, I mean when car's engine is not noisy (I drive toyota prius) it is easy to hear tyre noise (had that problem with previous brand). These are perfect in this aspect. Everyday driving mostly involves short distances and it just perfect. The only thing I have noticed that wet grip could be better if tyre pressure is within recommeded range. In my case 2.4 front and 2.3 rear. But when I increased them to 2.6 - 2.5 wet grip improved much and at the same time don't feel any discomfort in driving. Also I drove car for a long distance - 7500 km trip within 3 weeks with up to 1600 km non-stop driving and I am really happy with having no issues with tyres. Low noise, fully predictable behavior, excellent road contact. Read more Collapse

The tyres perform very well. They make no noise and grip the road quite well. Even after just changing the tyre, the tyre specialist said it was a good tyre as there were no problems with balancing. I bought a premium tyre because I value good and solid products, but most of all I value safety. This is only the end of my first season of using these tyres, but I hope they will perform like this for a few more seasons. Personally, I listen to my friends who boast about the fact that they bought new tyres for 130 PLN/unit and after some time they are afraid to go higher speeds on the motorway. I think it is worth paying extra if you intend to drive the car a bit longer and enjoy a good purchase. Safety is a priority for me and this tyre provides it. Read more Collapse

I was persuaded to buy Goodyear tyres from an Oponeo consultant and was unsure whether to go for Dunlop SP or Goodyear GY. I am very satisfied with the purchase. The tyre is soft, comfortable, after a season you can't see any special wear on the tread. They are quiet. I cannot assess the fuel consumption, as I have not driven this car on other summer tyres and have no comparison - the only thing is that the consumption is within the norm assumed by the manufacturer. The tyres also performed very well on rainy days - the car behaved reliably and stably even when driving faster through larger puddles. I will definitely decide to buy tyres from this manufacturer in the future, it was money very well spent. Read more Collapse

The tyres are pretty good. The braking distance is short - too short, because I've already been run over by someone twice, but I see that as a plus for the tyres. The car behaves safely on wet roads. As for the noise, etc., I can't complain - I can hear the fan and air conditioning more than the tyres. Failure rate and durability - it's hard for me to judge - I have been driving on a bumpy road in Chorzów for half a year and I can see damage on the tyres, but I can't complain because even 4x4 vehicles have a problem there (they slow down even up to 10 km to pass bumps). I wonder if the city would reimburse me for the cost of replacing the tyres caused by the negligence of the construction supervisor. Read more Collapse

After 502 km (exactly), bumps appeared on the side of the tyres (tyres made in France), felt with the fingers and could be seen from the side. The cost of mounting and then taking another removal about 180 PLN. After sending the product for warranty, one tyre was accepted and a refund was offered for the replacement of one..... I was also offered an exchange for a new tyre which I agreed to - after which I received a German made tyre. The difference is palpable, the pressure on the tyre, the composition and quality of the rubber is different... I strongly recommend buying only and exclusively of German production. Marek D p.s. I have been using the tyres since the end of February 2015 and have covered over 25,000 km on them since then. Although the tyre seems to be underinflated when the car is standing still it handles great in corners. As far as the fuel consumption is concerned compared to my previous Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 tyres the consumption is about 0.2 l per 100 km lower. After 25,000 km you can already see signs of wear on the front axle, which is around 40%, on the rear axle 75%. I can certainly recommend the tyre for its very short braking distance both on wet and dry surfaces, which has saved me from problems several times:). If I change tyres, I will certainly buy the same ones. Read more Collapse

I recommend these tyres to anyone with a quiet driving style. You have to make an effort to activate the ABS in the car. There are no problems with braking on wet roads either. The most important thing is that my fuel consumption has gone down. At a constant speed of 60km/h, displaying 3.8 is not a challenge (last season on other sets of tyres it was equal to 5). They dampen bumps nicely and are really quiet. I was impressed when I rocked the 206 up to 150km/h and apart from the engine and wind there was no distinctive tyre noise. Before buying it, I checked the tyre rankings. This model is always in the top four. The same goes for the price. Overall I would buy a second time. Read more Collapse

Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance grip the road very weel in the corners and on wet, unfortunately they wear off rapidly (they probable have a soft rubber compound), but something for something. Out of four new tyres I "managed" to damage two of them (despite their high profile). The fault was a bulge on the sidewall, which was a damage of carcass wires on the side. It may be a problem connected with road condition, but I didn't have such a problem with tyres other than Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance, which is why I dediced to mention it. Overall, I can recommend Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres, but only to people who often change tyres and who can afford it. Read more Collapse

It's hard for me to rate all listed parameters of Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance after just a few thousand miles. I also didn't check the tread wear, but I am sure of one thing. Since I fitted Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres, my driving comfort has drastically improved compared to my previous Michelin tyres, these ones are quiet and the car doesn't swerve in the corners and in the ruts. They give an impression of under-inflation, as they are soft, but it doesn't affect the use. I didn't also note any change in fuel consumption. I bought Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance a few days after they appeares in Oponeo tyre offer. They were very promising because of their EU label parameters and now I don't regret I bought them. They may not look their best from the side (they look a bit baloon-ish) but they are sensational on the road. I have never lost grip on wet, dry or loose surface. There's not aquaplaning at all. I have never experienced a slide in the corners on wet. Their driving properties compensate their average look multiple times. Also, I have noticed my fuel consuption is lower. Regardless of the speed of the car, even above 200 km/h, the vehicle drives confidently and comfortably. I drive aggressively, often taking corners at excessive speed, but the tyres grip the road amazingly well! In emergency braking situations, the ABS rarely has to be activated and the tyres don't even lose contact with the ground! I changed the tyres last year before my trip to Croatia and I do not regret a single coin spent. The average consumption on the whole (route over 3 thousand km) is about 5L/100 km at quite fast but not aggressive driving with the boot filled to the brim. The tyres guarantee a comfortable ride. Thanks to their construction, reminiscent of winter tyres. The tyres are soft. This may lead to the question of abrasion - moderate as for most competitors. The softness of the tyres makes bumps more pleasant to ride on. Even on reinforced concrete slabs we only hear a clatter between the successive slabs. Rolling resistance - not rated. This is due to the fact that there is no need to think about this parameter. The car rolls perfectly. The second important thing is the behavior in curves - the result is very good. Aqualung - satisfactory. At higher speeds the car is slightly carried away. I switched from Pirelli Cinturato P7s, which weren't bad, but (1) they wore out pretty quickly and (2) their behaviour, especially in the dry, was not perfect in my opinion. I bought a pair of these Continentals and, firstly, it was quiet, and secondly, braking was suddenly better. I do not assess the wear, I do not have the equipment, I do not get excited about the appearance, and the failure rate....... well, one has failed, but, ah, sorry, only because of my way of crossing the liaisons on the roundabout :/ Well I'm not sure about them there, but you can see the difference at the fuel station too. Roughly 0.2 - 0.3 l/100km. Read more Collapse

In terms of handling, I have no complaints, but when it comes to durability it is not so good. The sidewalls of the tyre are so unstable that if you scrape them against a kerb you will destroy the tyre. I have these tyres on my front axle and after only two weeks the tyre had to be replaced and after a year the sidewall was damaged again. I am very careful on kerbs and I have NEVER had sidewall damage with my previous tyres. I will not be buying another tyre but will be replacing them with another brand. I can recommend the Goodyear winter tyres, but I advise you to beware of the summer tyres, as they are a real nuisance. Read more Collapse

I bought these tyres based on tests and feedback from other users and I have not been disappointed. I have not had any problems with them this season. I like the fact that they are quiet. Also, I've noticed a noticeable drop in fuel consumption (of course, I've previously ridden on pretty worn pieces, so it was easily noticeable). Today, despite the sudden chill, snowfall and very wet surface (although not freezing) they performed very well. Not once did I notice the slightest uncertainty. The other thing is that I drove very carefully. I also changed to winter tyres today. All in all, I can highly recommend these tyres. Read more Collapse

I am using the tyre on a 2003 Audi A4 B6 1.9tdi 96kW (upgraded to 150hp). The Goodyear tyres, after 12,000 km, are performing superbly, regardless of the type of road surface and weather conditions. The appearance of the tread does not impress, but road safety is the most important factor, as well as good vehicle performance and fuel consumption. Overall, I must say that at the moment they are better than the previous Continental Conti Premium Contact 2, Dunlop Sp sport, others in size 205/55/16. ATTENTION: Tires of Polish production do not differ from the German or Dutch tyres, so buy and enjoy a comfortable ride :) Read more Collapse

I drove many km on those - sometimes on 2k km trips. They seem to be quite durable if it comes to normal usage especially that I am driving Irish roads (Irish asphalt contains a lot of small stones etc which are using your tires quicker). I drove on Motorways quite quickly In Ireland and outside and they are very comfortable with a good grip. But if it comes to marks and damages if you hit the curb sideways they not great. Sometimes gentle curb touch leaves damage. They also did not protect my rims enough. On the other hand had no punctures and i live around construction site but that might be coincident. I bought a set of tyres at a good price from your portal oponeo.co.uk which I praise. I am very pleased with my choice as the tyres are quiet and reliable to drive. There is no question of slipping in the wet or breaking grip when cornering sharply. The tyres have already covered 11000 km from the date of purchase, i.e. 3.2015 until today and no wear is visible. I recommend the purchase and the oponeo.co.uk website. The winter season is slowly approaching so I also plan to buy winter tyres on oponeo and I think Goodyear winter tyres will also be my choice :) Translated with DeepL.com (free version) Read more Collapse

As far as premium tyres go, I used a Bridgestone Turanza ER300 a few years ago. They were also good but I have the impression that the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance are even better. A couple of times in the last few months I had to brake suddenly and the car stopped like it was stuck. I have ABS but it was obvious that the tyres play a big role in braking. My friend advised me against it, saying they would be too "soft". So far, the tyres have not shown excessive wear. For me, safety and comfort (they are quiet) are the most important advantages of these tyres. I recommend! Read more Collapse

My first impression when they put them on my wheels was how ugly they were - bald on the sides and deep grooves in the middle. In addition, dirt sticks to them terribly. Another issue is noise - they make a distinct noise on poorer quality asphalt. I know I may be a bit of a malcontent. I do not deny that these tyres have good handling characteristics and that they save fuel to some extent. The question is whether it is worth paying for it in terms of looks and noise. I've only been riding them for a few days but if I were to choose again I'd look for something more "subdued". Read more Collapse

Up to now, I was riding on Bridgestone Turanza T01s which, compared to Goodyear, were noisier and had considerably more rolling resistance. With the new tyres, fuel consumption has dropped by a litre for every 100 km driven. The tyres are great in the wet and go around bends like a rail, braking even at high speeds (160-180 km/h) is not too impressive either. The only thing I don't know is how long they last because I have only driven 3,000 km on them.I highly recommend these tyres and I think the next set will be the same. I recommend the tyres. I am very satisfied. The car drives very well and at the same time the combustion has dropped to a great extent. If you drive a lot, this size and model is really worth considering, previously I had a Michelin wide 225 and the car consumed about 1 litre more on the same route. I have already driven over 10,000 km and the tyres are in good condition, they do not wear too quickly, in addition they are quite soft, which is nice for our roads. The only thing is that the appearance of the tyre is not very interesting, but you get used to it. Read more Collapse

I have been looking for good summer tyres for a long time - tyres that can be relied on in all weather conditions, especially in the rain. The tyres are sensational. Both in the city and in the countryside. They absorb all the vibrations and irregularities that are common on country roads. Driving comfort is excellent. The car handles very well when cornering. The tyres are very quiet, have a good wet grip and my diesel consumption has decreased. I am very happy with them. I would recommend these tyres to anyone who values comfort and driving convenience. Initially I was about to get some different tyres, but eventually I chose Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance and I don't regret it. The tyres are marvellous both in and outside the city. In the city they are very quiet and absorb all bumps and vibrations. Outside the city they're sensational. Great driving comfort. Taking the corners and bends, they make the car grip very, very well. I can generally recommend Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance tyres to all drivers who appreciate driving comfort. I am personally very satisfied with them. Read more Collapse

The tyres are quiet, economical and brake well in the wet. A little too soft, they need to be pumped harder, I have a heavy 2.0 turbo petrol car and I pump 2.5 bar, which makes them float in corners, but this impression disappears as you get used to the softness. You can forgive this for the benefit of their economy, quietness and excellent pothole damping :-) now you can clearly hear which tarmac is quiet and which is noisy, comfort above all. However, for sporty driving choose something else Read more Collapse
