The Suzuki Splash is a compact city car classified in the A-segment, manufactured at the Magyar Suzuki Corporation plant in Hungary. It succeeded the Suzuki Wagon R+ and is built on a modified Suzuki Swift platform, featuring a wheelbase shortened by 30 mm. Closely related to the Vauxhall Agila, both models were developed through a collaboration between Suzuki and Opel and are produced in the same facility.
While the Splash and Agila share many components, they differ in exterior styling, including the bonnet and tailgate design, mudguards, headlights, rear lights, bumpers, and select interior elements. The Suzuki Splash made its debut at the 2007 IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt.
Designed as a modern and innovative take on small passenger cars, the Splash combines stylish design with advanced technology. It offers a high level of driving comfort and emphasizes environmental responsibility. The spacious cabin accommodates up to five adults, and the elevated seating position enhances comfort during travel. The vehicle is also highly practical, featuring a wide-opening boot lid for easy luggage loading and seat configurations that simplify child seat installation.
In Euro NCAP safety tests, the Suzuki Splash earned a four-star rating. It is available with two petrol engine options—a 1.0-liter three-cylinder 12V engine producing 48 kW (65 hp) and a 1.2-liter four-cylinder 16V engine delivering 63 kW (86 hp)—as well as a 1.3-liter 16V diesel engine. The petrol engines were developed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, while the diesel engine is produced at Suzuki’s Indian facility under license from GM Powertrain Europe.
The standard tyre size for the Suzuki Splash is 165/70 R14, with an optional upgrade to 185/60 R15 tyres.
