Skoda Roomster

The Škoda Roomster is a compact MPV (K-segment) that has been in production since 2006. It marked Škoda's first entry into the minivan segment. The model made its official debut at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, following its initial unveiling as a concept at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. The production version remained largely faithful to the concept, with only minor changes. Originally, the concept was shorter and slightly wider, and its futuristic glass sliding doors were replaced with conventional ones for the production model. Until 2011, the Škoda Roomster was manufactured at the Kvasiny plant. Production later moved to Vrchlabí, Czech Republic. The Roomster was offered with a range of petrol and diesel engines: petrol options included a 1.2L (64 HP and 70 HP), 1.4L (85 HP), and 1.6L (105 HP), while diesel variants featured a 1.4 TDI (70 HP and 80 HP) and a 1.9 TDI (105 HP). An automatic transmission with Tiptronic was also available. Standard equipment included a height- and reach-adjustable steering column, height-adjustable driver’s seat, ABS, MSR, Dual Rate braking system, four airbags, and rear parking sensors. In addition to the standard city MPV, Škoda introduced an off-road-inspired version—the Škoda Roomster Scout. Unveiled at the 2006 Essen Motor Show, the Scout variant went on sale a few months later. It featured a 43 mm increase in ground clearance for improved light off-road capability, along with rugged design elements such as plastic body cladding, a steel skid plate for underbody protection, and reinforced side sills. One of the Roomster’s standout features is its high safety rating. It earned a full five-star rating in Euro NCAP crash tests, highlighting its strong safety credentials.

The factory tyre sizes for the Škoda Roomster are: 175/70 R14, 185/65 R14, and 195/55 R15.
Optionally, 205/45 R16 tyres can also be fitted.
