Peugeot Partner

The Peugeot Partner is PSA Group’s entry in the small commercial vehicle segment, developed as a twin model to the Citroën Berlingo. Both vehicles debuted in 1996 and entered the market less than a year later, initially offered in a three-door configuration. The lineup quickly expanded to include versions with rear sliding doors, making the Peugeot Partner a practical and spacious option for both commercial and passenger use. Built on a new platform featuring MacPherson front suspension, the Partner gained popularity, leading to the introduction of off-road variants like the XT-R, which featured a differential mechanism for improved traction. The base models were available in several configurations: the 170C (600 kg payload, 3 m³ cargo volume), the 190C (800 kg payload, 3 m³ cargo volume), and the passenger-oriented Combispace. In 2002, the Peugeot Partner received a significant facelift, unveiled at the Paris Motor Show. The second generation launched in 2008, featuring a completely new design. Apart from the name, the first and second generations share little in common. The new Partner is built on the Citroën C4 Picasso platform and incorporates many of its components. It also benefits from higher-quality materials and a redesigned interior, including a dashboard-mounted gear lever for improved ergonomics. The second-generation Partner is powered by a range of engines: two petrol options (1.6L with 90 hp and 1.6L 16V with 109 hp) and three diesel variants (1.6 HDi with 75 hp, 90 hp, and 109 hp). This generation is offered exclusively as a commercial van, while the passenger version has been rebranded as the Peugeot Partner Tepee. The Tepee stands out for its enhanced ride comfort, offering individual, ergonomic seats instead of a traditional bench.
