Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass is a compact SUV produced by the American automaker Chrysler, now part of Stellantis. First unveiled in 2006 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the Compass shares its platform with the Jeep Patriot and Dodge Caliber. While the Patriot stays true to Jeep’s rugged off-road heritage, the Compass is designed primarily for urban driving. It was the first Jeep model to offer front-wheel drive as standard. However, in markets outside the United States, it is available exclusively with 4x4 all-wheel drive. Under the hood, the Compass offers three engine options. The standard powertrain is a 2.4-liter GEMA gasoline engine, while a 2.0-liter version is available exclusively in the 4x2 Sport trim. Additionally, a 2.0-liter CRD diesel engine producing 140 hp, sourced from Volkswagen, is also offered. In 2011, the Jeep Compass received a significant facelift, featuring both design and mechanical upgrades. The refreshed model adopted styling cues from the Grand Cherokee while maintaining its unique identity. A completely redesigned suspension system improved ride comfort and driving dynamics. A special off-road-oriented version, the Freedom Drive II, was also introduced. It includes a low-range gearbox, 17-inch wheels with off-road tires, and a suspension lift of one inch for enhanced ground clearance. Production of the Jeep Compass and Patriot was scheduled to end in 2012, in line with new strategic directions. Their place in the lineup was set to be taken by a new model developed by Fiat, which holds a partial stake in Chrysler.
The factory tire size for the Jeep Compass is 215/60 R17.

Optional tire sizes include 225/55 R17, 245/45 R18, and 235/45 R19.
