The Hyundai ix20 is a compact MPV produced by the South Korean automaker Hyundai. It made its debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Built on the same platform as the Hyundai i20, Kia Venga, and Kia Soul, the ix20 is the smallest crossover in Hyundai's European lineup and is manufactured in Nošovice, Czech Republic. Its design was developed at Hyundai’s European Design Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and showcases the brand’s Fluidic Sculpture design philosophy. It is the second model, following the ix35, to adopt this styling approach.
The front of the ix20 features a bold trapezoidal grille and sleek, futuristic headlights that extend into the fenders. Sharp bumper lines and pronounced creases add to its dynamic appearance. Inside, the cabin is both spacious and practical. Thanks to a high roofline, the seating position is elevated, enhancing interior space and comfort. The front seats are generously sized and provide good support for long journeys. One of the standout features is the large boot, offering 440 litres of cargo space—an impressive figure for a vehicle in this segment.
Under the hood, the Hyundai ix20 is powered by efficient Gamma petrol engines with 1.4 and 1.6-litre capacities, as well as 1.4 and 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engines. The petrol variants are equipped with a modern CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing) system, enhancing performance and fuel efficiency.
