A great tyre for snowy roads. Vredestein Xtreme Wintrac grips through the corner, however pulling off might be a bit tricky. I guess though that it might have more to do with the car being front wheel drive and how heavy it is, rather than the tyre. Recommended buy!

These tyres took me up a 1/10 hill in 1 foot compact snow last winter and have lasted me all summer.

I purchased these tyres for my 335i coupe twin turbo petrol for the winter in the UK. I ran them on my original 17" wheels which have a 255 rear and 225 front. This really helped as the car has a lot of power and torque and can ask a lot of the rear tyres. I normally run 19" wheels for summer with high performance tyres. The Vredsteins were excellent. They provided superb wet grip and in the minimal snow that I drove had superb grip in the snow. I really liked the way the tyres didn't harden in the colder temperatures unlike summer tyres. Ride quality was fantastic but some of this would have been running them on a 17" wheel compared to my 19" wheel summer tyres. Longevity was very good although I didn't cover many miles during winter so difficult to say. Dry grip was good considering they are a winter tyre but I did find the handling a little vague at times but this may have been because the tread blocks were still very new and tall and moving a little bit. Overall though I am delighted with them and very glad I fitted a winter tyre and will be putting them back on the car in early November having swapped them at the beginning of April to my summer wheels/tyres.

In ice snow and extremely good gel. Confidence in the tire. Excellent grip. In dry handles well. Bit rolling, as opposed to summer tires, but wuite passable. You lose the direct leadership of a summer tire, but its still acceptable. Many wet grip. And tire wear rates is good. Takes 5% or so mpg closed but again acceptable for the benefit of winter safety and confidence. Im sure this is the winter tire to answer. Cheaper to buy in September before the winter demand.

Very impressed with these winter tyres. Very good grip levels in both dry and wet conditions. Winter conditions where mild so only had a couple of times I needed there snow ice grip, but handled the power of the car well. Definable reduction in grip and very soft feel when temperatures where above 10 degrees. Drove around 4000 miles and no noticeable wear in the tyres before going back to the summer set. Also look great which is a bonus

Can't tell how they wear yet, but on the whole I am very pleased with them in winter use. My tyre fitter told me they would also be ok for summer use in my native Scotland, but I don't know if this is true. I am going to try them though.

Vredestein Xtreme Wintrac is very quiet, for a winter tyre that is. Comfy and safe.

The Vredestein Xtreme Wintrac is definitely not an average tyre both in case of driving qualities and design. Unfortunately, one of those I have has a slight bulge on the inner side. I can't recall driving on the pot hole or hitting a kerb. So for this tyre class that's a bit odd. They are also quite expensive to buy in the first place. I don't know about the complaint yet. But other than that.. They are just fine.
