I drove on Toyo R 888 mostly in the city plus two races and couple of hundred miles on the highway. On dry asphalt the grip is fantastic, much better than most premium tyres. On wet asphalt the grip is also good unless we drove into a deep puddle. You have to be careful in heavy rain. The treadwear is faster, but every tyre lasts shorter when racing. For its puprose it is really good, it is also useful in dirt. Really loud!

For me Toyo R 888 is simply outstanding! I did one race on them and I have never had tyres with such a grip :) Actually I put them on for test and they were lot better than Pirelli P6. The handling and grip is so amazing that I could not have imagined. On a tarmac covered by little sand or mud the grip is perfect and also in wet we have good control over the vehicle. I did not drive in rain yet. However, the tyres are loud actually.

Very good quality / price ratio to roll over on the dry circuit. For the winter road was only the wear is too great.

I've been usingToyo R888 for a number of years and find them a great "all-round" semi slick tyre. My grades would be reflective of the type of tyre it is - I would say their wet weather performance is quite good for this type of tyre and can be used in the wet as long as there's not a lot of standing water. Outright dry grip is not as good as other semi slicks, but these tyres don't need warming up, whilst being stiffer than most road tyres, they ride well relative to other semi slicks which can be much stiffer and they also last ok.

Tyre was used mainly for track events in multiple forms of weather on a clio 172. Excellent dry weather grip and very predictable when at the edge of there performance threshold. Also to my surprise, very good in the wet (once you've got a bit of heat in them). standing water is more of a problem for them as be expected with a tyre that has so little tread

Fantastic tyre for the racetrack and on dry roads. Unbelievable amount of grip in dry conditions. Beware of aqua planing in the wet though.
