The tyre is great, tried out on a steep hill with about 6 inches snow, absolutely no issues. Great in the cold and wet days of UK too :-) BTW, better than the tyre was the service that oponeo give. Great web service, great support on phone and best price. I think I'll be coming back again :-)

Great tyres. I have a Japanese car and was afraid that only Japanese tyres will be suitable for it in terms of driving sensations and comfort. However, the Pirelli Sottozero 2 tyres turned out to be tremendous. Italians manufactured the tyres that encourage to drive more aggressively in slippery, slushy and snowy road conditions. What's more, these tyres give you a possibility to drive really fast in corners. I'm pretty sure that if I used them on dry asphalt, the handling would be perfect as well. The rubber compound is quite hard but it seems that the tyres are rather hard wearing. If you do approximately 6,000-7,000 miles per winter season, the tyres should preserve their full performance for even five seasons. They are not too loud. Most probably I will go for these tyres again.

Once I had the Pirelli tire chains in the mountains was a last resort, I bought the Goodyear-y and in the mountains without chains or move. I was glad I dropped it as I have already wasted "shod" and went back to proven Pirelli. Highly recommended - I have 2 children and their safety is a priority for me. At Goodyear-ah did not feel safe not only in the mountains, turns in it were floating.
