After this year's winter I know I made the right choice buying Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow. It's a perfect tyre for all conditions. Sensational on the snow. Snow drifts and mud are not a problem - the car goes through them smoothly all the time. After two seasons the tyres show almost no signs of wear. A bit too loud on the pavement.

I have these tyres for three seasons now. I bought them out of choice, because they were recommended by the manufacturer. After the purchase, I went to the garage to fit them and found out that two out of four purchased tyres were oval and impossible to balance. My dispute with the company I bought the tyres at lasted three months. Eventually, Pirelli took pity on me and sent me new tyres. After the first season, one of the tyres misshaped and also became oval. The cost of one Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow is ca. 250 pounds. The ones which are good behave just fine, but overall failure rating is 50%. In this case I don't recommend them - too much risk.

The asymmetric tread of Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow makes the car swerve lightly to the side. It may be the fault of the set I have, but re-fitting the tyres didn't help.
