Nokian Tyres WR A3 - User reviews

Used last 3 years, combined with audi Quattro system hard to tell difference between summer driving at legal speeds. Total confidence in wet, slush & snow. Even with nearly 500bhp hardly any wheel spin unless provoked. Considerably cheaper than ( larger summer tyres) makes economic sense as well as providing added safety. Surprised that ride not noticeably better than lower profile summer tyres, but that may be due to higher recommended pressure. Would definitely recommend, but may try something different out of curiosity next time.

I would recommend Nokian, Pirelli previous, which were worse at constant 4x4. Nokian work well in difficult weather conditions at high speed highway about 200 km / h and on snowy mountain roads. For the money the super tire. It makes no sense to overpay.

The tyre is very quiet, has a corresponding amortization, even at temperatures above 10 degrees in the black will be stable. After switching from the Michelin Primacy summer into Nokian virtually no difference in driving, Very stable, no sliding; phenomenal tyre on the curves - you can hear the tread biting into the asphalt - whether on wet or the dry. Aquaplaning is not a threat- a couple of deep pools scored already at a higher speed - the car stable. It is the best value for this money, in my opinion . My set was manufactured in Russia and against the general opinions on the internet, did not have any problems with balancing tyres.

I put the tire before the winter season, which is coming to an end. Although it was not a harsh winter in moments when przysypało snow and ice covered the tire did not disappoint me. No problem I set off your mk4 in drifts or on icy roads. Only once accused me gently back on the roundabout at low speed, but after a while the car was back to its normal position. With a clear conscience I can recommend. Hide donuts to the basement and let it rest until November.

I do a year 50 thousand km, so the tire changing quite often and I have a good overview. Driving at high speeds, forces me to care for the selection of tires, never saving money - it's my life depends on them. Nokian A3 model is very good at highway speeds of up to 200 km / h (eg. In Germany) the feeling of the car is very good regardless of the conditions. Inhibition perfect. Rain is not a problem. Temperature -10 and frozen asphalt do not join, or assist steering ABSu. The tire of the class as a great 3D Dunlop although I thought then it will be hard to match. Overall I would recommend A3 anyone who cares about himself and his family. I drove 8 thousand miles under various conditions (including in the mountains at -10). The tire failed to raise the combustion compared to summer tires. Tire Balancing smooth. As compared to summer tires (I Dunlopy) bit louder, but quieter than many I've had winter tires.

The main problem is probably weaker traction when starting on wet pavement, ice and snow is about braking on snow and ice brilliant. Super traction, the tire is predictable, it is easy to feel the limits of traction. Generally recommended.

This is the second Nokian. Previous Nokian WR purchased in 2008, sold together with the car in February. Exercised great, so I bought another of the same company. Do not be deceived. I do not know how the abrasion but old tires after a few years remained 5 mm tread! And drove tens of thousands of kilometers.

This is my second set of winter tires from Nokian. First I bought a second car in size 185/60/14 (Model WR D3). After the first snows and mud, I said that this was the best winter tire I've ever had (and I rode Kleber Krisalp HP, Fulda Cristall Montero, BF Goodrich G-Force Winter, Goodyear Ultragrip 7). So I decided to buy the Nokia for a second car. This time the choice fell on the model WR A3 in size 205/50/17. And here also to be disappointed. The asymmetric tread is quieter than the WR D3, also doing better in dry conditions. Snow comparable to WR D3 - that is sensational. Tires have made in Russia, and there was not any problems with their balancing (and such opinions can be found in the internet). Tires were settled on a brand new car and everything is fine. The next will also Nokia.
