These tyres are still amazing on snow and ice, I've not had any better. But unlike the version from a few years ago, they don't feel as secure on dry/damp roads as they used to. Nokian say they've made changes to the design to improve rolling resistance (e.g. removing the rim protector bead), but the downside of this seems to be that the steering response is not so precise and the car doesn't feel so secure to drive. So they're great if you live somewhere where there's snow and ice all winter, but not so good for mixed conditions like we have in the North of the UK.

Solid tire for the winter. Maybe 255 is a bit too wide for a winter tire, because several times I danced car on black ice, but all in all - to which it would not danced :) But it's important that the tire is quiet, runs confident and does not create too much drag. Recommended

It is difficult to compare with previous tires. New, high tread more stable handling on snow and slush than the old one, which had (Continentale). They seem a bit louder. The level and rate of wear is difficult to assess after such a run. In summary, recommendable.

I had never ridden on Nokianach. I am very positively surprised properties of tires. It is true that I have not experienced this year, too many extreme snow conditions, but the few that I could encounter, did not impress on the conduct of the car in a negative sense. Car held the road well, I have not noticed a significant perceptible increase in fuel consumption. Tires were doing very well both in dry and wet roads. Previously ridden on Continentalach - Nokia to their properties persist previous one, but more accessible price.
