Good tyres, last long 21000 miles city and motorway use, single major problem it was some cracks inside of both front tyres at the same time what make me to change them on this millage, even them still had ~45% of tread

Nexen Winguard Sport are perfectly competent winter tyres. Sure, there are better out there and the Kumho KW15 I used to use were certainly grippier on snow and slush but I'm perfectly content with the performance of these tyres for the price paid. They are approximately half the price of the premium winter tyres I had before and are still considerably better than running summer tyres in winter conditions. They cope with the 230bhp of the car perfectly well. We also use the same model of tyre in 205/55R16 on our Volvo V50 and they work well there too.

Not so good on warm dry tarmac but why would they be? Fair grip on wet roads and excellent grip in slush and both fresh and hard packed snow. I recommend these tyres for winter use and would definitely buy them again.

Tyres used for winter only. Changed during spring and autumn months. Previous pair lasted 2 winters on front wheels with no lack of grip on snow, slush. Not encountered much ice. No noticable difference in any performance category with summer tyres. Very good tyre at a reasonable cost.
