I bought these tires because relatively cheap despite belonging to the high performance category. Having a car now very old and in view of its short-replacement, I wanted to spend as little as possible while maintaining characteristics of sportsmanship as I like it. The evidence shows these tires meet these requirements. But the difference (for the worse) especially in lateral grip and directionality (in dry or wet) than my previous Nokian Z G2 is perceptible. If I were to buy the tires to last until the end definitely prefer high-end models, like my previous Nokian (excellent value for money) or premium brands (in the past I had the Bridgestone RE050: rails on dry but slightly distressed on-wet).

Slightly drains water during rain, a lot of the risk of aquaplaning, high noise above 100km / h

I bought this model after using nokian tires before and Michelin primacy (mounted from the house). I must say that Nexen is less than nokian, is a bit 'noisy, at times it seems to have less grip, maybe it is just me, wet cornering slips a bit'. But in my opinion based on the quality / price ratio is not bad. Besides my car mount tires 245 / 45R18 so some "defects" of them have, for example, the noise, potholes and stability in the wet. In my opinion if you want to pay the right Nexen is fine, but you can not expect it to be like having a nokian or Michelin.

Ok, yes they were cheap and do a job, but you pay for what you get. My Alpina roadster 3.4 previously had Michelin pilots. I had it on track and they stuck like glue. With these nexen tyres, I dare not take it on a track. Several times in damp and wet conditions I have lost the back end more than I would like. The tread is also less at 6mm to the michelen's 8mm. I fear the sidewall rigidity, or lack of it is what looses your confidence when cornering fast. For a car that gets 0- 60 in 5secs, I will definitely go back to Michelin next time. However, these nexens will get used and they have good acceleration and breaking grip, just not to be trusted in the wet.
